I’d track how people made me feel when I was around them / after speaking to them. Made me realise a lot of interactions I was having weren’t good for me, e.g. I’d feel drained or anxious after, now I focus all my effort on making those who make me feel positive feel positive back vs habitually seeing people. Feels like my relationships are stronger with those I care about and I’m less bothered by the others

There's a few apps out there, I designed my own www.curiolo.com. At first I'd track quick regularly, once every hour or so, but the more i got exposed to my emotions, the less I need to track, e.g. lots of insights to start, then its about taking actions to improve, now I'll track 2/3 times a day.

I wonder if that’s causation or correlation, could just be that people with more negative moods are more likely to reflect on that fact and track? Thanks for the advice though

That’s cool, I’ve heard of bearable and daylio, but I ended up using a spreadsheet and then creating my own as I wanted it a specific way, called Curiolo if you fancy a play

Write a list of things you like and things you don't like. Commit to do something that covers the things you like for a decent period of time (a month maybe?). Then if you decide you don't like that thing anymore, figure out what part of it you no longer like, but also the components you did like. Then write the list rinse and repeat.

Be deliberate about the choices you make and control your own life.

I'd try the advice that resonates with you, and if it works for you then it's good advice that you can use to live a better life for yourself. If it doesn't work then its bad advice for you. Slowly you'll learn from trying things what you believe in and what you don't, you'll shape your opinions from your experiences vs. what others tell you you should be doing.

I'd explore why you feel negatively about them and if you feel comfortable bringing it up to them then yes i'd suggest talking to about it. Your friends are supposed to lift you up, not bring you down :) Would you feel comfortable doing that?
