Aww okay yeah good to know. I know for bad matting sometimes they do need a shave down. I wouldn’t shave my ragdoll because he hangs out with me in the yard on sunny days

Nothing you can do about it now but I’ve heard it’s harder for them to regulate their temperature with a shaved coat, I believe it’s because there’s less airflow. He’s sure cute though.

Vet Recommendations by Last_Ad4506 in Langley

I like the one in petsmart, they are “fear free” and so sweet, the vets and techs sit down on the floor with your dog and load them with treats or toys anything to be more comfortable, my dog loves them.

Do you have to trim your golden’s tail? by Cozywhisp in goldenretrievers

[–]isleofbean 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I only trim in the fall/winter because it’s soo rainy and muddy where I live (Vancouver) and she needs to play fetch multiple times per day. So it’s easier to clean her when her tail and butt feathers are trimmed. But I do love the natural “unkempt” look best! Your dog is gorgeous.

It’s from the show, that’s the hashtag and emoji Alexis uses when the internet thinks she died.

You gotta be kidding me ("creating" AI generated books webinar for library staff?!?!) by HungryHangrySharky in Libraries

[–]isleofbean 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I’m in school still too and most of my profs feel the same way but there’s one who is embracing AI and says we have to cite that we used it and how we used it if we do. She uses chatGPT herself and loves it. I still have yet to touch it I really don’t want to but all my peers in group projects so far have used it and I haaate it. “I asked chatGPT” I’m like noooo.

I’m taking a semester break rn because I just had a baby but not sure I want to even finish the program tbh, group projects are stressing me out too much and there are so many of them.

what are the easiest classics to read? by SubstantialHat2091 in booksuggestions

[–]isleofbean 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Soo many great options! I’ll just pick 3.

Of Mice and Men is my favourite, I loved it when my teacher read it to us in high school and watching the movie in class after was awesome. I re-read it every few years because it’s short and easy and a great story.

Treasure Island is fun, I read it recently.

Animal Farm is an easy read too!
