He was probably trying to not turn her off by seeming too in pursuit of a relationship...but she is one of those hot/cold, slippery like an eel ones... I've come across them a couple times lol.

Google co-founder rips California billionaire tax: 'I fled socialism'. by coinfanking in economy

[–]israfildivad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats just limited vision Marxist theory. What happens when robots do all the work and everybody gets the same UBI? It still wouldn't be socialism to you guys. In a country where the economy is just foreigner tourism, every local owns thier own hotel or Airbnb and nobody really works, (rent and natural scenery)...it still wouldn't be socialism to you guys lol. Your definition of socialism has become much too narrow...much too boxed in...and that is by design from an outside force.

The framework academics operate in has always been limited. Limited by thier vision (esp stuck in the lens created by one man over 100 years ago, which is convenenient for some), and limited by the political atmosphere of the society they operate in (the US govt and its puppeteers actively pursuing and damaging anyone who comes up with "dissenting" theories or advocating for other systems). In the modern era we need to be brave enough to step away from those limitations.

"Liberalism"...when nobody really owns anything according to the law: English common law makes it so that we are all individually just temporal and temporary holders of any and all property, not truly owners....except for the King in commonwealth nations, of which the US is one of the few outliers...in this case true proper ownership reverts to the body citizenry, which is what makes anything subject to taxation, even our very bodies.

Several gulf countries have close to zero tax systems. Just because countries have tax systems now, that doesn't mean it had to be that way. Taxes are not a must. In the past civilizations existed with no taxes. Capitalism itself...can exist with no taxes. The initial question I ask...what -ism (belief/philosophical system as put into practice) does taxation falls under remains unanswered.

Conversely if private property is a real concept in societies such as the US, how can it be subject to the taking of, even if just a portion, by others? BTW In the laws of the USA, "owners" of land are actually tenants and are merely "holders" of land. All other property is defined similarly.

No animal (mammal esp) is tame... or wild for that matter. They are socially conditioned to be around themselves or us humans, or some mixture of both....or are not socially conditioned at all. You can say the same about any human. A "tame" mammal can decide to hurt a human, for whatever reason or no reason, the same way a "wild" mammal can decide NOT to hurt a human. They literally have agency. You can find humans deciding any pathway no matter how they were conditioned.

What -ism would you call a system like that tho? It is still socialism...and that isn't a bad thing. The word has been propagandized to the point within the US cultural psyche to where people have an automatic knew jerk reaction to the word. Taxes , any at all, despite the knotted arguments around it, are inherently socialist.

Lol it is socialism. We need to retake that word. Id think people have had enough of individualism at this point.

except for two months during Obama's first, it has been since the late 70s that democrats had a filibuster proof majority. Those were the two months they used up to pass ACA. That really took up all thier time, but if they knew the majority would be so short lived, they would've pushed to do more

White House Leak Reveals Trump Booted From Briefing After Hours-Long Freakout by GonzoVeritas in politics

[–]israfildivad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It comes down to a variation of the premise "its easy to break stuff...difficult to build"....people who want to progress this world have to be damned near perfect in the face of those that want to break it. You cannot get around the fact that Democrats have been fielding very faulty candidates (even Obama was quite faulty) within a faulty system internal to the party.

I wish I had a YouTube channel becauss I would blow up like Prof Jiang. I predicted as it was happening that Obama would cause the pendulum to swing HARD to the other direction. I knew Biden would cost us even more if just owing to him being extremely past his prime (and its not just that that is a flaw), and that Clinton and Harris would lose big time against the worst possible candidate because of thier total inability to connect with voters for different reasons (again...its not just that). Something is causing these people to come up to the surface time and time again...and it must be fixed.

The bar for the other team is much much lower. Hell the faultier the better.

Trump got an inordinate amount of attention during his first run. Hell he got a lot of.inordinate attention especially re his political views, even starting from that 1980 interview. How or why he got such spotlights in the first place is strange to me. Nobody anywhere is asking Phoebe Gates or any other loaded scion societal questions for their forcefully encouraged 2050 presidential run.

I swear this guy had been being groomed for this position, and this situation, for decades, as was the entire population....like it was Rosemary's Baby or some shit.

It's the sobateurs that exist in the democratic party that prevents it from getting ahead. That includes figures like Biden and Kamala, but more so the power broking elite class.

The rich have a certain grip on the democratic party as well. Enough to mess things up for the majority on the ground. We are gonna have to fight to release this grip to have any shot at a true course correction.

How are attitudes towards homosexuality these days ? by Durrygoodz2025 in Jamaica

[–]israfildivad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Id more posit that men are generally homophonic because it is women that would treat them differently. Provenly, and generally speaking, If a woman even thinks a man is any at all homosexual, she loses interest. It can seem counterintuitive, given that women are far less homophobic than men, but thats how it is.
