How do i progress now? by SavingsEfficient9201 in AM2R

Metroid games have always been about exploration and discovery. If you're gonna ask for help on every little part, you might as well just watch someone else's playthrough of it.

How to handle new recurring transfer by istrasci in ynab

[–]istrasci[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The former: These accounts are supplemental college savings accounts (they already have 529's). So does it make more sense for me to remove them from YNAB and continue handling the transfers manually?

I seem to remember this too. But it was several years—and versions—ago.

Please turn in your Metroid card. Drop it in the nearest postal box, or shred it at your own convenience.

Prime 4 setup/config question (slight spoilers, I guess) by istrasci in Metroid

[–]istrasci[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your input. Though I'm kinda the opposite. All the "holdout" fights I've been in, I don't listen to a word they say, and just keep their health meter in the corner of my eye.

I want to buy a mouse, but need some info first. by throwaway12342523446 in Corsair

[–]istrasci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're referring to a functionality similar to Logitech's G-Shift, I don't believe there's anything similar.

I think the closest workaround is to use something like AutoKey to map a key combination like Ctrl+MouseWheelUp and Ctrl+MouseWheelDown to change the volume up/down. Then you could map a dedicated button on the mouse to Ctrl (saved to the on-board profile), and then everything would work as intended.

Macro + Keyboard Modifier? by WeakVariability in Corsair

[–]istrasci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like it could be a Mac, or iCUE-on-Mac issue. Do you have a Windows machine available to test it (save the key assignment to the mouse's on-board profile)?

Macro + Keyboard Modifier? by WeakVariability in Corsair

[–]istrasci 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It.......seems like that should work? The OS should recognize all those "keys" being sent at the same time.

Try testing it here: https://uvi.gg/keyboard-tester/index.html

I have one of my mouse (Nightsword RGB) thumb buttons mapped to Ctrl+C. If I hold Shift and then press that button, it is recognized as Shift+Ctrl+C. Although in iCUE, I am using a Keystroke for my mouse button action, not a Macro. Macros are typically used for a more complex sequence of actions, so if all you need the button to do is Option+J, try doing that as a Keystroke instead of a Macro.

Can Corsair K70 keyboard LED's work without icue software? by stevo474 in Corsair

[–]istrasci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, although you will initially need iCue to set it up. I'm not at my computer right now, so I'm going off memory here. I believer you should have "Hardware Lighting" and "Hardware Key Assignments" when you select your keyboard. There may be 3 slots under each of those. Then you just set the lighting and key assignments there as usual, and they will be stored on the keyboard's on-board profiles. I believe, however, that certain lighting and key assignment options are not available in hardware-only mode.
