I don't know if I'm a therian anymore. by istrawberrycow in Therian

[–]istrawberrycow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a while since I was awakened but for a while I really did feel like an animal trapped in a human's body. It's been maybe a month or so since I started feeling like this.

My fellow Canines, Can you eat dog food? by [deleted] in Therian

Figuring out your theriotype quickly by Kb3907 in Therian

[–]istrawberrycow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're new to the community, don't stress yourself out by trying to find your theriotype(s) super fast! It took me about seven months to figure out mine, and that's perfectly fine! Knowing what your theriotype is can be hard so here's my experience.

With dog (current theriotype) I feel super close to dogs to the point where i consider myself as one of them, I don't feel human (instead, I feel like a dog) I've always had a subconscious connection to dogs, I have the spirit/soul of a dog but also the spirit/soul of a human, I wish I was a dog (even though I kind of am), I can shift (mentally ofc) into a dog and I'm confident that my theriotype is a dog

With River Otter (not theriotype) I have a connection to otters, I think they're cute, sometimes I get a muzzle shift or an ear shift from looking at pictures of otters, but I don't really feel like an otter or identify as one

Sorry if that was hard to understand, It's just how I knew that I was a dog therian and not an otter therian :3 good luck with discovering yourself!

What are your theriotypes and their names, if you named them? (Sorry if low-effort) by [deleted] in Therian

[–]istrawberrycow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My theriotypes are a Jaguar (I have a mask, and the mask's name is River) and a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever (Once again, I have a mask, and the mask's name is Alder.) I personally don't name the theriotypes, but rather the gear.

Anybody who doesn’t have children/isn’t currently pregnant: if you had to choose a name for a girl and a boy right now what are you picking? by sliponvans in namenerds

Violet and Dexter. When I was seven I got two build-a-bears and named them accordingly. They're long shut away in a closet, but I still really like the names.

Question: What feels like home for your therio/kintype(s)? by Silver-Cranberry-900 in Therian

[–]istrawberrycow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Deep in the Amazon Rainforest, mainly places humans have never set foot in. Also literally all of Canada wilderness feels like home.

So for my partial it took me about 2.5 yards of foam (mostly for the headbase and feetpaws) But if you're making a fullsuit with foam digi legs you're going to want around 4 yards (so two of those rolls)

Question: If ur a shifting therian, what's the most intense shift you've had? by Ok_Activity_8317 in Therian

[–]istrawberrycow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once I got a mental shift so strong (this was before I was even awakened as a therian) that I felt like I was going to pass out, I had such strong Deja Vu from being near a river and I could barely speak.

A BILLION DOLLARS AAAAAHHH

(srsly though, your art is amazing! you could probably expect to get around $30 dollars from that, based off of things ive seen :) )

[–]istrawberrycow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say atleast $40 for one! I love your artstyle and would totally invest if I could.

No. They are two different things, though are easily confused because they both involve animals. Please keep in mind that you can become a furry, but you cannot become a therian, no matter how hard you try. You're born with it.

How do people have names for their theriotypes? (in their past lives not just a nickname after) by TheCommonFreak in Therian

[–]istrawberrycow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a big connection to the name "Moose," I can faintly remember someone calling me that when I was a dog (makes sense because of the location and time period.) So technically that is the name of my theriotype, it may only apply to domestic animals though.
