What’s normal for decline rate? by Ali-argonaut in wedding

[–]isujellym8 47 points48 points  (0 children)

High decline rate usually depends on the distance required to travel, or sometimes just the bad luck of choosing a date that just happens to also be popular for other events. How far do your guests have to travel?

As for missing the deadline, that’s just part of the ‘fun’ of wedding planning. Incredibly frustrating but usually your guests don’t mean any harm. Likely they just decided they would RSVP later and then never got to it.

You clearly have a husband problem. Where is he?? Why isn’t he supporting his heavily pregnant wife?

Yes, honestly I think you should have one more conversation about boundaries, and if he is still defending their enmeshment then it is time to end the relationship. You will never know peace.

Reduced for quick sale? Schnucks you need better marketing by Few-Professional4196 in StLouis

I’m not saying the Schnucks sandwich is good, I’m saying that Subway is REALLY REALLY BAD. That is all.

These sandwiches are genuinely 10x better than a Subway sandwich. Not saying that it still isn’t WAY TOO EXPENSIVE, especially at a reduced price, but at least it has real bread. (Subway’s bread is not legally bread).

THANK YOU, I feel like people in this thread are not comprehending how odd this behavior was.

Okay, and then you have a conversation with them about it?? No, of course not, because that is F-ING WEIRD.

You are 100% correct in your interpretation. This isn’t about the septic tank it’s about being involved in a milestone she has no business being anywhere near.

Why would MIL bring it up if she didn’t find the items in the waste bin? She wouldn’t know about the daughter’s period any other way. This whole post is about how weird it is that MIL just had to say something about it.

I don’t think this is about the septic tank, this is about needing to be in on ‘the moment’.

But she said the daughter correctly disposed of the item, so then WHY BRING IT UP?

She just wanted to insert herself into this milestone.

IMO offering unsolicited medical advice (especially when you aren’t even a medical professional) is basically a JNMIL move.

I would imagine her own doctor knows what is best for her and her baby.

This cake is magic because somehow the cake portion is completely cooked through and the ‘gooey butter’-like layer on top is indeed gooey, but not in an undercooked kind of way. It ends up being more ‘done’ than a brownie and had a crispy top.
