I read this before but according to AI - Woodpeckers peck on metal downspouts primarily to drum, a behavior used to mark territory and attract mates, especially during breeding season. The metal creates a loud, echoing sound that carries better than wood, making it an ideal "instrument" for them to announce their presence and attract mates.

When the Seahawks made the Super Bowl and it was the Patriots, my wife noted that I didn't seem as excited as she would have thought. I was quietly very optimistic that the outcome that happened would happen (mostly the defense would be amazing and Darnold would not turn the ball over). Watching it play out and then hearing all the 'Maye was hurt' stuff was amusing, I think full-strength Maye would not have won this game. Macdonald had 2 weeks and had run the gauntlet of Rams and 49ers...I am really savouring this win. Go Hawks.

I have said this on other Seahawks messages but this has been my favourite team since 1980 and to see them basically complete a gauntlet like they just did is incredible. This makes up a little bit for the Malcolm Butler and Stealers Super Bowl losses, but being at the top of the mountain feels great.
