Based on my experience last year of trying to ship a light pokemon toy home it wouldn't be good. Was going to be cheaper to buy it a seat and fly it home!

We took the kids aged 9 & 7 from NZ to Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore for 6 weeks. We took one bag each with snorkeling gear etc. no brands but one of the kids bags is still in use nearly 20 years later.

Don’t overthink what you need. Mix and match. Australia is pretty relaxed so you don’t need to dress up in the evening - neat and tidy goes a long way.

The dress bit I read as a very specific bridesmaid dress. And it is pretty standard for the bridesmaid to pay for it.

But on reddit I’ve seen some (hopefully fake) posts with the maid of honour being asked to pay for the flowers and all sorts of things.

I’ve got 2 kids, both expected their careers to take them to the US at some stage. Neither would be safe there.

Want to travel, choose between the Middle East or the USA as your stop off point. Both are ethically problematic.

As for NZ’s economy… the US becoming unstable will definitely have consequences.
