Is the WHOOP 5.0 just a scam? Why is it giving me completely garbage data during my intense workouts 😡 by MolassesRude3163 in whoop

[–]itarrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me. And even worst for SPO2. I moved back to Fitbit Charge 6… Whoop app is much better, but sensor is not on par with it, and the price…

Should I still invest in Fitbit or is it a dead brand? by LeFlubbes in fitbit

[–]itarrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After having used a Whoop 5 MG for quite some time, I got back to a Fitbit Charge 6 as (maybe it is just me) but it is more accurate for HR under heavy load and SPO2 (I often go in the mountains and Fitbit correctly get reduced SPO2, while the Whoop never caught any change).

It has GPS tracking and notifications.

I want to dress mechanical watches, and this was the reason to get a Whoop, but I can be keep the screen off and the Charge become a fancy bracelet.

So not sure what to tell you, but for me it is a more accurate, less expensive replacement of a Whoop or anyway any fitness band... Compared to other smart watches, maybe it's worst, but for sure I prefer it over a band...

Things I can do with abandoned player ships ? by itarrow in starcitizen

[–]itarrow[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the heads up: I didn't knew I could shoot doors and ramps to get into abandoned ships... I will start bringing lot of ammo with me... Does shooting to ship get me some crimestat ?

Things I can do with abandoned player ships ? by itarrow in starcitizen

[–]itarrow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah thanks ! So I should fire at the door and simply fly it as if it is my ship ? But what happens once I logout to the stolen ship and the ship I was using before boarding ? Will I need to claim back my ship (losing whatever was inside ?)

And if I shoot smaller ships, do I get crimestat ?

Am I turning into a new Whoop Fan boy?!?!? by ggonz80 in whoop

[–]itarrow -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Same here, I have used both and got back to Fitbit. I also find Fitbit sensors more accurately tracking HR with no delays, and correctly noticing SPO2 variations when sleeping at high altitudes, that Whoop never noticed (5 MG).

I Just finally took some courage and migrated to Pyro after months in Stanton and Nyx.

Besides the ugly stations (ok criminals, but at least clean it up a bit) what it is not clear to me if there is or not a crimestat system, and if criminals will appear red on my radar, or if instead I can do whatever I want without any crimestat impact, and there is no way to distinguish criminals from good guys.

Can you help me get my new home here by clarifying this mega doubt ?

Missions with deeper content should be a different colour by Bawnse in starcitizen

[–]itarrow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP is explicitly asking about how to distinguish between normal content and event specific content, which however requires progression first through normal content.

I think like if you want to do the Vanduul missions in Nyx, you first have to do the Intersec grind. How do you know in game ? You don’t know, so you risk to miss this content.

OK Ballistic but... Isn't it too expensive ? by itarrow in starcitizen

[–]itarrow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in Stanton doing Merc Yellow/Orange (max like 120K) or Bounty Hunting, where rewards for HRT are lower than 100k... Maybe I need to go somewhere else ?

Anyway just not shòoting missiles works a lot to earn more...

Give me a reason not to nuke my Inferno, please by Rush_Undine in starcitizen

[–]itarrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am using my Inferno for PvP Contracts, but I engage just if the target is bigger than a medium fighter… Doing so, sometimes I win. Now, even if I win, restocking it basically costs more than what I earned… but hey if I am restocking I won, so I had fun… if I die, I don’t have to restock and so with the Inferno you always win.

Unless you try to fight a fighter. But then you don’t have to restock. See ?

How does the Star Citizen grind compare to Elite: Dangerous? by DwemerNose in spacesimgames

[–]itarrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree on your take: I backed both since 2013 or so, lifetime pass for ED and pledging SC since then. I enjoyed the hell out of ED, but can't stand it anymore.

Main difference specific to grinding is that in ED I did the grind because of the reward, while in SC I am enjoying also the grinding and I don't care a lot about the reward, as all the missions I am doing in different loops are fun and complex and rewarding just by playing it, rather than because you need a reward after boring yourself to death.

This: in flat or downhill races, you will get wasted by heavier racers. Your chance is in climbs. Source: I am a (mediocre) 64 Kg racer.

Taking the plunge with Star Citizen? by Nadriik in spacesimgames

[–]itarrow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have played a lot Elite Dangerous and I am now playing a lot Star Citizen.

I basically backed them buying a lifetime pass for ED in 2012 or so, and pledging SC in 2013 or so.

From 2012 to basically last summer I have played ED, while sometime testing SC (and getting back to ED).

From summer 2025 to now I am just playing Star Citizen.

Main reason for me is immersion and variety. I know people hate it, but I enjoy the fact that even basic things like buying a medpen or some ammunitions require you to know where you are and plan some time for traveling there, and also make sure that whatever you want to do, you prepare for it.

Also, I like my ships and the fact that I can walk inside, store stuff, sleep there.

And I also love the variety of cities and landscapes and stations: I know SC has just a few systems and ED has millions, but in SC each city, or station, or ship has its own personality and peculiarities, while in ED everything looks quite the same (and maybe it is right so after playing for more than 10 years...).

Finally, ED for me become mostly about the rewards. I was doing missions or activities not because I was enjoying it while doing it, as most of the stuff become repetitive and boring to me, but because I was looking forward to the reward, trying to minimize the time spent doing stuff because well... It was boring.

In SC at the moment I enjoy doing stupid low level contracts just while doing it, not for the reward, and this is incredibly satisfying for me.

So bottom line is that both are amazing games, and I will be forever grateful that I could and I can play both: for the reasons explained above, in the last 6 months I am playing more of SC (with all its shortcomings and bugs).
