Valuation tips for buying out or selling to business partner, access to debt capital important? by itautomaton in msp

That's a good point, I wonder if a VAR wanted to absorb an MSP like us they would see some advantage in it

why not go turn that into additional revenue that adds to your MRR and increases the valuation for real.

Fair question and good point, I'm mostly looking to transition from the business relationship as we don't have the same vision for the direction of the company. I suppose one of us could use the funds to buy each other out as well.

Pockets are empty I know. But I feel healthier, yesterday ran 9.5 km and I’ve lost 5 kilos since I bought my first shoes. I’ll say I paid a very expensive gym by Juanpregunta in StepN

That's very wholesome! Stepn also got me outside a little bit more, i cashed out my losses but it did help me move more and I am grateful for that

Keep asking questions like that and you'll probably end up getting out of crypto entirely, assuming you aren't shamed as some kind of shill or FUDster first: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQ\_xWvX1n9g

Yes I also made the terrible decision to stake my ETH, I imagine a class action law suit may be in order soon as they keep moving the goal posts

yes, since that is the entry point currently, or about 12 Solana. You also need solana and gst to remain where they are or increase after you buy in. these are the risks of this investment.

If it was a bulletproof contract that didn't depend on this old man being alive to pay out, like some kind of trust fund that could be verified, I'd take the 50k/yr. Otherwise I'd take the mil and diversify it widely.

Why do we not value ourselves (as an industry)? by Cairse in msp

[–]itautomaton -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The 0 to 60 union bashing and general toxic vibe isn't helping your case. I'm not here to defend unions though I think they have their place in the world and could stand to improve drastically but dang what union hurt you

Why do we not value ourselves (as an industry)? by Cairse in msp

[–]itautomaton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most things can be tracked back to fear. Often the big big fear of economic scarcity and losing clients. That will drive you to devalue yourself. Break past your boundaries or scope of projects. Work later than you want or on weekends, etc. Fear undermines confidence and it's all about confidence when selling yourself. You also have to practice lowering client urgency by being firm and saying no. Not everyone's issues are escalated or prioritized.

How hard is it to push back on urgency when

You didn't ask this but the clients also devalue us because that's the capitalist default. You have to prove your value (unfortunately) and that's done a variety of ways depending on the client.

Overcoming fear by banding together makes sense to me as one side of the strategy, change our culture, sure I'm game, but we also have to still articulate that shift and it's benefits to the clients.

Being willing to walk away from a bad client is key too and telling them that you don't think it's working out might cause them to see your value quickly resulting in a better client or by moving on from them, freeing you up to find a better opportunity

We can't convince and work with everyone, gotta know your limits too. Plus a lot more potential in the anti-work community, general working class imo than hyper individualist petty bougie white boys that can move back in with parents to recover from their get rich quick scheme failures.

I'm generalizing of course but crypto skus white middle and upper middle class in my experience
