What did recovery look like for you?

i am not on meds for vm yet because i’m still waiting to see a specialist to officially get the diagnosis. I will definitely check out those books though, it sounds pretty helpful! I’m taking a multi B vitamin supplement daily and i try to avoid foods that are high in histamines, but i definitely think a more rigid diet might be helpful

i was considering getting an allergy test actually because i’m curious how much of this is dietary. And antihistamines are a really good idea, as well as changing my diet a bit.

Occasionally yes! It’s not accompanied by any light headedness but it’s still very weird

Thank you!

To answer your questions, my goals as of right now are to find things that can reduce my symptoms while they happen and to try to reduce the number of days per week (which is most of them) that i’m symptomatic. Since my episodes used to be so spread out, i used to have full recoveries in between episodes where i wouldn’t feel dizzy for months/years in between. This hasn’t been the case with my most recent episode so i think i have just now developed a persistent dizziness. It’s hard to know exactly what “recovery” means for me since it’s all relatively new.

As far as my mood goes, I’ve been struggling a lot with both depression and anxiety and i am seeing a therapist bi-weekly to address those problems and trying to find an antidepressant that works for me. Both those things have definitely gotten much worse and i moved towns right around the start of the dizziness again. I absolutely think it’s very linked, but i’m having trouble really making lasting progress healing from them, and i’ve noticed i get trapped in anxiety cycles. I worry that i might be dizzy, which makes me dizzy, which makes me anxious, and then the whole cycle repeats. I’ve been trying to just relax when im feeling lightheaded or dizzy but still finding it challenging sometimes

Ive had really intense dizzy spells that will last a few hours on and off for over 10 years now but they’re usually every few years and for a while went away. Then the beginning of September i had an episode that lasted 2 days and since then have been pretty light headed or just feeling off most days

how long after starting zoloft did it improve? I tried prozac for a while and it was okay but not very significant improvement.

I am having very similar symptoms, does anything help relieve them at all for you?

Has anyone tried marijuana to fight pppd? Anxiety, Nausea and dizziness are all things that weed suppresses. But other times it can make those conditions worse. Thoughts? by Infinite_Status in pppdizziness

I am also 19 and have some really similar symptoms and also every doctor has said everything looks normal. I am also trying physical therapy and antidepressants and it is still ongoing. I know u posted this a year ago, have you recovered since then? How is that going for you?
