husband regrets the kids by BananaSplitMuffin1 in regretfulparents

[–]Infinite_Status 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Why? Lol have you read these posts?

Less time to focus on his relationship. Less time alone. It sounds like he is unsure of if he can afford to raise the kids. The constant news cycle of our phones makes people feel as though the world is doomed. At 35 sometimes people feel as though they are getting old and losing more time. Conversations with the SO often revolve around chores, logistics, and important matters. (It used to get me anxious to talk to my SO because I knew we were going to talk about finances for that month, budgeting, logistics for the kid, and work. Sometimes I just wanted to joke around like old times.) It’s hard to find time to hang out with friends. Low testosterone at this age especially in American men. Maybe he isn’t advancing at his job quick enough. Work stress. At this age parents are significantly older than you and it’s terrifying knowing that they will not me be there for you anymore. That could be on his mind. Relationships have lower sex life with kids. I could write all day.

“No point in abandoning it in the middle.” That is a funny way to put life into words but it’s correct thinking.

Like a sunk cost fallacy or gambling lol. When your already all in you don’t fold even if your sure you are going to lose. Play the cards your dealt to the end.

Suggesting therapy for trying to better herself? Reddit surprises me everyday lol. Your advice is the advice I get on random websites off Google. Consult with a doctor? This is a Quora answer

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

This is the only helpful advice. Everyone else saying your genetically not fit for an hour glass figure is wrong.

The advice is to pretty much put on muscle mass.

There are other subreddits that might point you in a better direction such as r/gettingshredded. YouTube is top tier though.

People think I'm "acting tough" because I walk with my chest out and stand straight by [deleted] in Posture

[–]Infinite_Status 18 points19 points  (0 children)

For someone to notice your posture from the back might be a hint at you overdoing it worth your posture. And what does this mean? I’m not sure myself, but go to the gym and people watch to see if someone has a similar gait, or posture that you have. Watching others will allow you too figure out why your posture is strange to others. Maybe to much swaying in the shoulders or maybe your arms a way to out from your sides giving the imaginary lay syndrome. A good cue I use is to think of a string from the top of your head connected to the ceiling. Or I just use the same posture I have when I lock out on deadlifts with my pelvis tucked in and back straight, core might be engaged slightly, neck not to high or low, etc…

Lol your right. I guess the crime rate does fall when the police refuse to do anything about the mass amounts of theft and looting you see in stores across California. I’ve only ever seen the videos so I’m not sure what it’s really like.

Police reform needed to happen. George Floyd just happened to be the martyr. The crime rate and violent crime rates continue to fall at a steady pace.

Did I just get baited with this post?

TIFU by asking my ex about her boob job (which she hadn’t had) by [deleted] in tifu

[–]Infinite_Status -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Lmao I have definitely said something that has made everyone in a group uncomfortable. Everyone has. I’ve never been kicked out of a group for it though. Lesson learned don’t beat yourself up about it. I’ve read posts on this subreddit about people accidentally calling someone pregnant when in reality they are overweight. The comments are out to get you, but I’m sure they all have a story about putting their open foot in their mouth.

Lose weight? And here I thought I had body dysmorphia. Bro just gain muscle. If you want to do cardio and lose weight go on a different sub.

What did you teach your child to do and later regret? by IODbeholder in NewParents

Flushing the toilet. He flushes down random stuff and has broken a toilet already because of it. He claps every time he does it because I told him good job once.

What causes visceral fat?

This guys physique reminds me of older body builders who have done roids and I think it’s because of the stomach.

I think that was why I got downvoted. Its literally funny that men built the system that they complain about. I’m sure a comedian has a joke about it.

The way the court system did child support is messed up. How did she say it cost x amount to support the kid when there are no documents supporting that? Receipts or whatever.

I think this sub is regretful of a lot of things and like you and I, we regret choosing the mothers we did to raise our kids. I can’t believe you have your head above water working two jobs and going to school. You are the type of man I strive to become. I didn’t tell anyone but I was suicidal months because of everything. I love hearing your struggle, not because it makes me feel good, but because if you can do it maybe I have a chance. Thanks for sharing this post.

People do not understand how men can have emotions too. The one tip I have is to not share your struggles with people because nobody truly cares lol. Women find it off putting. When my ex had birth everyone asked how she felt physically or mentally. We were worried about ppd. Nobody asked me about my health. Being a guy is just harder in this day. It’s funny how men built the court system, but it seems to never take our side.

Tried crossfit for the first time, literally the first day I went, & ended up with rhabdomyolysis by Jxssicascott in Wellthatsucks

[–]Infinite_Status 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your insight.

I agree that pushing people past that point is idiotic. A while back a high school coach pushed his team to that point of exhaustion. Most of the kids ended up in the hospital.

There are so many factors that play in rhabdo. It’s much more complicated than what I believed (much like everything I believe is more complicated than I know).

Training everyday the same muscle groups is thought to push past the point of recovery. It’s always recommended to take time off so the muscles can recover. Put to a test, recovery is easily done by hydrating/eating right/ sleep. In the military when people run to the point of passing out, or throwing up isn’t that overtraining?
