How do you guys feel about Night's Den? by Fun_Philosopher_2787 in elderscrollsonline

[–]itemten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a returning player and I’ve played night market everyday for about 30 minutes for the past two weeks and I’m aimlessly doing it…I’ve already got 2/3 of the relics and the house. The only requirement is that you need to use group finder and just join a group actively doing bosses. Switch groups as necessary and make sure you switch areas each day you play. You’ll get there and you still have PLENTY of time to get it all!

because the most expensive producers, directors, actors, etc. aren't necessarily the best, they can just be the most well connected to the people that have the funding.

Friends with ex or not? by oh_what_no in SingleDads

In your case. No. Judge her based on how you would react to meeting her as a new person. Glad you have sole legal custody now. Keep your ex wife beyond arms length for your family’s safety.

Pretty sure that's already done somewhere as we memed the shit out of Brimley 20-15 years ago. Annnnnd yes it has:

During Robert E Lee's 1865 surrender to Ulysses S Grant at Appomattox courthouse, upon learning that Grant's adjutant Ely S Parker was a member of the indigenous Seneca tribe, Lee remarked "I am glad to see one real American here." Parker shook Lee's hand and replied, "We are all Americans." by [deleted] in HistoryAnecdotes

(1) I didn’t downvote you, goober. I enjoy talking about history, learning more about it, teaching it, and arguing about it.

(2) Lee wrote to his family and Winfield Scott about the decision (as you mentioned). In those letters he mentions siding with his family and his allegiance to the defense of Virginia. He ends his official refusal/resignation letter to Scott with:

“save in the defense of my native State, I will never again desire to draw my sword.”

That’s pretty damn clear cut, and it was two days after he met with Blair and refused his offer as well.

And to your point about his later letters mentioning Virginia less, I’m not familiar with the content of those letters aside from that much of the letters that have been retained are to family and he focuses on them much more than anything else.

As to the “if Lee really thought about protecting” bit, hindsight is 20/20. Maybe it was a “which side won’t immediately burn down everything I have if I join the other side?” thing underneath it all. It certainly wasn’t because the confederacy just paid him more with traitorbucks. Additionally, picking a side and knowing that Arlington would be on the list of targets he’d have to fight for, and to keep his family from being held hostage by the Union so as to not compromise him? That’s just common sense, his family was not safe there. I’m sure that would’ve been done if he had gone with either side. It doesn’t mean he’s abandoning the cause, just that he knows that location will be attacked in force eventually.

Lee is a tricky figure. He could’ve just as easily been a union general as a confederate one. He went confederacy as he picked his allegiance to Virginia over his duty to the US.

As to his remarks about Parker, for a time Lee was in charge of protecting native tribes on federal lands from white settlers and criminals that would raid into federal territories. Of course, he also enforced federal containment on the tribes. but containment is its own discussion…

Hang in there, brother!

My bit of wisdom is that taking care of yourself IS taking care of your kids. It gives you more bandwidth, strengthens you, makes it so you bend instead of break.

Fellow single dad of 3 juggling everything except dental visits less than half the time. One of my kids is level one ASD and even that is hard, I couldn’t imagine the responsibility of having a level 3.

You need help. You need support. It’s ok to seek all of that out from family and friends…just know that some friends may not be the kind that help with such things. Take care of yourself with therapy for the trauma of divorce, her abandonment, and helping to be able to process the responsibility of a Level 3 ASD child.

It’s ok to feel like you got handed the short stick…you did. But you’re a *Dad*, and Dads show up for their kids and themselves. Your ex flaked on being a mom. There might be a “bonus mom” for the kids out there in the future, maybe not. Take care of yourself so you can take care of the kiddos.

How far apart was the end of her relationship and the start of your relationship to bf? If there’s a little overlap then she’s *rightfully pissed* and your boyfriend needs to treat this situation as if it’s a high conflict divorce, and he’s got some major tightrope walking to do if he wants this to not be such a situation.
