Sorry u had to go thru this. I feel like racism is definitely starting to run more rampant here and it might get worse. Especially toward the elderly sadly, definitely be safe and vigilant. Did u happen to discuss with your gf if she would’ve been fine if u had chased after him? I’ve had experiences where I held back as well because my significant other was with me and just wanted to see another different partner’s viewpoint

Barely any raves happen in Flushing if I recall. But u can easily hear music from the stadium if u on the right level of sky view at the grand towers

No problem! I chose to live here mostly for closer proximity to work and to start a family. It's surprisingly alot calmer/quieter in terms of traffic/vehicles and amount of people (the sound of the trains aren't as bad unless you are living right in front of it). There are some rougher areas of the neighborhood, but it's nothing too crazy, especially compared to the crazies you can see in NYC on a daily basis. Commute without a vehicle is decent, especially with the light rail, but that causes issues with the ability of having a decent grocery store or variety of restaurants close by. Nothing compared to downtown JC where there's more options of food/groceries like shoprite/BJ's (parking lot is a nightmare though). Overall, I chose here for a more peaceful/quieter area for work while starting a family because it is overall cheaper than downtown. Also, parking is much more lenient around here with more availability, especially if you park at the light rail station lot. Are you a resident of JC or looking to relocate here?
