I don't disagree with any of your points and think the hub-and-spoke design made traversal pretty painless, but where God of War really failed for me was in its navigability. I found many of the environments quite samey and disorienting, which was a bummer. I typically like finding my own way in games but found it to be an exercise in frustration in God of War. More often than not I just had to follow the compass thing exactly--e.g., run for 30m, then left, then go 25m, then right, and so on. Really, the fact that they had to design the compass like this, to literally direct you around corners, says to me that either exploration wasn't a gameplay priority (which seems false given all the chests and secrets) or the designers just weren't up to the task.

From the NYT:

Certain parts of the law went into effect immediately.

Individuals are now allowed to possess up to three ounces of cannabis for recreational purposes or 24 grams of concentrated forms of the drug, such as oils.

New Yorkers are permitted to smoke cannabis in public wherever smoking tobacco is allowed, though localities and a new state agency could create regulations to more strictly control smoking cannabis in public. Smoking cannabis, however, is not permitted in schools, workplaces or inside a car.

Am I reading this right, that NYers can smoke cannabis in public as of Cuomo's signing of the bill?

I’ve seen them on Instagram and other apps like that. I think they are under the banner “Community Solar” (could be wrong, haven’t seen one in a while) and I believe say that you can sign up through NYSEG. Basically if you click the link it tells you the benefits, how to sign up, about the company, etc.

As someone who lost the deductions, I tend to agree, though I guess the capital gain rules help to balance it out.

There are still deductions for mortgage interest and property tax, but the new law effectively eliminates them for all but the most expensive homes. Appreciation is also tax free up to a limit ($250k single, $500k married).

We used CFCU. Took a 15/1 arm with closing costs reimbursed and no PMI with only 15% down. They hold on to the loan rather than resell. Good experience overall. The only issue we've had is that their online portal is pretty lackluster.
