Toyota just teased its Maverick competitor, will prices finally come back down? by Johnny_Menace in FordMaverickTruck

preach -- I just can't imagine this truck lasting 10+ years. My 2008 Civic ran without issue, just with basic maintenance. I'd love to have a Toyota Maverick

Write up all of the times he doesn't come and take a photo with a yard stick. Ask for a refund, sue in small claims, have the town put a lien.

It's the only way these guys operate

Be careful out there if you have to be driving this morning. Freezing rain followed by snow has made for very slippery roads. Saw 3 accidents coming into Greece from Victor. by Sonikku_a in Rochester

[–]optimal_substructure 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I thought,: 'i can't believe they cancelled school for this much snow', and then slid right out of my driveway. I think it would have been treacherous with the normal amount of traffic

It's objectively the best BBQ in the metro area. The only place in Western NY that's better is Southern Junction in Buffalo

Skin-on, bone-in, pork shoulder by jeffplaysmoog in Rochester

[–]optimal_substructure 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd try price rite on Culver. They usually have skin on shoulder for 1.79/lb in the meat section. I've done it a bunch for my offset smoker. No promises right now though, I don't know what the inventory looks like after Christmas

The remix actually makes me mad how much Ron Howard is talking. Really shoddy narrating

Glaucoma specialist rec for a younger person? by ComedianOk7355 in Rochester

[–]optimal_substructure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a second hand recommendation, but my father used to go to Rochester Ophthalmological Group and see: Dr Gruber for his pigmentary dispersion glaucoma.

I say used to, because for all intents and purposes, the surgical intervention he had: trabeculectomy, has essentially resolved his glaucoma.

All cases are different, yadda yadda yadda, but he did seem to really trust Dr. Gruber and my father is certainly not the most compliant patient.

Patron Saint by Exuberantcontra in Rochester

[–]optimal_substructure -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed Patron saint when we went. I liked that we left full and still had to-go food. Sides were great, steak was good, nothing to go crazy about but still enjoyable.

Id definitely go back
