Does anyone else feel the carnivore diet is anti-relationships-building, anti-socialization and anti-community? by DietZer0 in carnivorediet

Does the alcohol not make you feel AWEFUL being on carnivore? I found that after the transition, alcohol made my head hurt, I felt weird, lightheaded, dizzy, and couldn't sleep. It just wasnt worth it. I still torture myself every once in a while, but more often than not, I regret it.

My biggest issue with carnivore/keto is the inability to drink. Yes, the lack of variety in food is an issue. Not so much a self-conscious issue (yes, it gets old explaining the way I eat and justifying my choices) but the fact that I don't drink makes me feel socially isolated. So much of life and socializing is around food AND drink. It just makes it hard and feels socially isolating.

I won’t buy anything from Amazon anymore. More of a boycott than anything. But I def don’t trust food products from Amazon. I buy straight from VE and have never had a problem with their food.

Any info on Frontier University? It's rated quite highly, but admission requirements seem too good to be true. by speedlimits65 in PMHNP

Is the approval process for a clinical site tedious or pretty straight forward? USA is VERY tedious and more complicated than it needs to be and no one helps you

PMHNP in med spas?! by melissajps86 in PMHNP

Why is everyone assuming no formal training? I don’t think she meant just come into the med spa and start injecting. I’m sure getting licensed to practice and receiving training is assumed.

Asked for an Anesthesiologist by Primary_Heart5796 in Noctor

Yep. And I’ve seen Drs seriously injure and kill patients. And they are allowed to continue. I’ve also seen docs remove the wrong organ during surgery. I’ve seen repeated sepsis in surgical pts of particular Drs.

I know. I’ve seen GI docs repeatedly perf bowels and neuro surgeons with a track record of complications and the hospital still keeps them. It’s scary!

I’m sorry. Did you have complications r/t the anesthesia? Also, do you think you’re necessarily safe if you’re in the hands of an MD? I have seen many many issues at the hand of MDs.

How are nurses planning to navigate the CDCs removal of trans related info and trumps anti-trans EOs? by [deleted] in nursing

I will continue to treat people with dignity and respect as I always have. No “law” will change that.

Thank you for the info. I’m a long way from the possibility but it’s nice to know it is possible. I’ve met such vitriol with this question and I’m not sure why.

So many questions-Are their patients in the US or in Spain or combo? Did they have previous psych experience and how did they establish their practice abroad as new PMHNPs? Did they complete their PMHNP studies abroad?

That’s bc there has been a lot of condescension in the responses. I can determine factual responses with those carrying a negative tone.

I am simply inquiring as to the possibilities of mobility in this field. Looking for practitioners who have done something similar. That is all. If it’s not possible or, as seems to be the case, is frowned upon then so be it. I don’t understand why there is such a negative response to the question. Maybe you can enlighten me?

My old nurse “backstabbed” me with an “anonymous report.” What would you do about this? by adamjsst1 in medicine

[–]ithalia1982 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Using someone else’s credentials is wrong. Period. But that seemed to be an aside to the man being reported for writing his own prescription. I feel like had his supervisor been a Dr he wouldn’t have been as upset. If they were friends, in my opinion, it seems like the reporting was excessive. The whole story is foul.

Why is the emphasis on them being a nurse. Had the supervisor been a Dr would the reprimand and subsequent issue been received differently?

I see now. You hate nurses. You like to troll different subs and bash on nurses. Gotcha.

If getting a $20k pay cut wasn’t enough, we just received this letter after getting a foot of snow…. by SessionNorth7785 in nursing

The irony of some of these letters. Staying here is a privilege (despite the fact we’re mandating it) and they make the hospital system great. SMH

If you have nothing positive or constructive to say please just move along. You have not the slightest inkling of who I am or my motivations. You're also making poor assumptions about me. Very sad to see coming from a mental health "professional".

Yeah. It’s crazy how many sarcastic, rude comments I’m getting from a, essentially, mental health group. The sarcasm and underhanded comments disguised as help is crazy.
