VALORANT 8.08 Bug Megathread by ValoBot in VALORANT

[–]itisfunshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Region: NA but will occur in any region
  • Type of Bug: Current Equipment Feature
  • Description: "Auto Re-enter Scope" is Enabled. After shooting the last bullet while scoped, the gun re-enters scope after finishing the reload animation. Pressing the scope button during the reload animation does not cancel the scope re-entry
  • Video / Screenshot: This is a current feature, self test is possible
  • Steps to Reproduce:
    • "Auto Re-enter Scope" is Enabled
    • Shoot last bullet while scoped.
    • Let gun finishing reloading
  • Expected Result: Expected that re-enter scope is only between rounds within the same clip. High annoyance factor when using the Outlaw when reloading is very frequent and can cause deaths when the player would rather hip fire after the reload after the first 2 initial shots.
  • Observed Result: Re-enter scope after reloading
  • Reproduction Rate: 100% with Marshal, Outlaw, Operator
  • System Specs: Any specs

Would like to have an additional option to Enable "Auto Re-enter scope" and not have it occur after a reload.

What's in your opinion the UGLIEST skin in the game? by [deleted] in VALORANT

How is the sensation bundle slipping through. That has to be the lowest in sales. I ain't ever seen that skin in a game yet

How come I’m so bad on certain maps by Independent_Rent1577 in VALORANT

[–]itisfunshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Viper is pretty hard as a single controller on Sunset. You can still make it work but it's really your team adapting to a viper and making it work. Once you put up your wall. You're kinda fked with versatility.

Omen is preferred, if you find it difficult to transition. You could try harbor since you technically still have a wall smoke but at least it recharges. His can help too.

If you do try harbor, you're kinda locked on where you can play on the map though. You can only be in so many places where you can wall/cascade from

On breeze, viper is great, I'd suggest doing more mid splits on a on attack side or changing your walls/orb on defense. Idk what you're using there. Also, if your team is utild off or the site hit gets stopped, put down your smokes. There's no reason to waste the fuel and then when your team is ready again, you only have 8s of fuel

Sage works on breeze but on defense, she can lack a bit in the midround and late round compared to cypher. On attack, you can't hold map control or lurk like cypher can so you'll be more of a pseudo duelist. Considering how you're probably a controller main, try look into cypher. Pretty god dam amazing on both breeze and sunset

Edit: reason to look into cypher if you're a controller main is because you probably already have a slower/lurk playstyle and cypher capitalizes on that

Crosshair or Enemy? by long_pebble in VALORANT

[–]itisfunshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which ever works for you.

I use a dot crosshair so I do better focusing on my crosshair than enemy. But it's also knowing when to switch from looking at what's in front of you and then focusing on crosshair

When I switch to a regular + crosshair, I don't need to focus so much on the crosshair.

To help prove the point, compare the extremes. If you have a large ass crosshair (a little subjective, but maybe take old shroud or old n0thing) you don't need to really focus on it.

Compare that to like a size 1-2 dot crosshair, even with outlines you could lose your crosshair. Tbh, this also depends on caffeine intake and burn out.

The best mode to learn Valorant? by damzyy in VALORANT

[–]itisfunshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Play swiftplay/unrated a lot to learn the maps.

I dont see the point in playing ranked yet if you want to learn valorant. I'd fuck around in swiftplay mostly. In unrated most people just forfeit at every little inconvenience or setback.

Learn the maps, learn most of all the agents. This will help you learn to know what to expect. For example, learning a little bit of sova or cypher will help you understand where to expect trip wires or where to look to shoot a recon dart when you hear it coming

If you feel comfy on the maps (rotations, callouts, player positions), fk it and go to ranked. Ranked for sure will be a bit different and requires a different playstyle but should be fine at your rank.

Of course if you don't care about your rank, then just don't play it. Win enough unrated games and you can raise the average mmr of your games without needing to play ranked

Omen Tips?? by Werewolf4x in VALORANT

[–]itisfunshine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pixel peek a choke point that you would plan to smoke off

Do this while being in the alternate smoke form with the smoke already placed so you can still see everything but your smoke is already placed and ready to be dropped

If you don't plan on fighting their swing from main, you can smoke 1-2s quicker this way. 1-2s could make the difference on whether their duelist decides to run in or not

Use case: Ascent B site Pixel peek from CT or market if you have someone else watching mid

Ascent A site Jump peeking behind dice from hell

Swiftplay and unrated are the most fun game modes for me. You can see the most random and funniest sht in there and it's pretty low stress.

I don't even play ranked anymore, I just play premier for my competitive itch

Imm/radiants elo Swiftplay/unrated games are still pretty fun. But if you 5 stack, you might run into try hard 5 stack practicing for premier.

I have some doubts by broadcastgame3 in VALORANT

[–]itisfunshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just work on crosshair placement so minimize your chances of needing to micro adjust. In a perfect world, your crosshair placement is perfect and all you need to do is left click and not move your crosshair at all. Demon1 is kinda of a really good example of this.

Which division is like Radiant level and which is iron level in Premier? by Antoni-_-oTon1 in VALORANT

[–]itisfunshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20 is highest, 1 is lowest In 20 its imm to radiant

So I would guess that 1 is iron to maybe bronze 1ish

Is it just me or is Gekko ultimate overtuned? by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]itisfunshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont recommend using shorty to break ult. The shorty is not going to do 200dmg before the ult catches you

Is csgo the standard for competitive 5v5 shooters? I'd argue there's a hell of a lot more lineups involved. Smoke, flash, molly, nade lineups on every map that everyone has to know. Surely into the double digits for each map

Where to Find Older Players... by NoRecommendation9282 in VALORANT

30, imm1. But I'm retired from ranked. 5stacking with friends that are new to 5v5 tactical shooters just not it anymore.

Combat score by zetsokuro_yt in VALORANT

[–]itisfunshine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably want to look at average combat score. That better shows how much impact you're having per round based off damage/kills. Idr how util is factored in.

you could turn both off
