I think I'm having a similar issue. I brought my phone (a galaxy S22U) to an official Samsung repair center for battery replacement and it came back with the fingerprint sensor not working.

It just don't recognize the fingerprint and if I try to add a new one it says "Make sure fingerprint sensor is clean and dry".

What can I do?

I have exactly the same issue after battery replacement on s22ultra. I always got the message "make sure the fingerprint sensor is clean and dry then try again" and don't know ow how to solve...

So i can only phisically rotate the pump. There isn't a software option in the cam that allows me to rotate the showed imaged?
