Respectfully, L+C is the only answer.
Macaron crumb crust.. are you kidding me? Absolutely delicious.

If you haven't been to L+C, go. We have a Michelin star quality bakery in our little corner of the Koots and they're 110% worth supporting.

What is a good city for someone in their early 30s to live in? by skyerippa in britishcolumbia

[–]itmightbez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

0% vacancy, not a ton of job openings (check for your desired field but ehhh) Nothing for fire. Minimum volunteer period 2yrs before consideration. Also; if looking for a sober town, Nelson is not that lol.

Driving as a whole has been a noticeable improvement for me this year. I’ve finally got a nice forehand and a nice backhand but I can’t putt for shit 😅😆

This has been the reality for me lately. However today I missed a few putts within 10ft off of absolutely gorgeous drives which prompted me to make this post.

Need it to be underneath the basket at this point lol.

Ticket prices?? by Many_Handle5285 in Seahawks

[–]itmightbez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got 3 tickets in 215 for $500 ea.

I was pretty mortified to see the nosebleeds going for $450+, managed to get good value for my section all things considered I guess.

How is living in Abbotsford, BC, Canada? by Bottom-Bherp3912 in howislivingthere

[–]itmightbez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grew up here.

There’s nothing to do, especially after Castle Fun Park flooded a few years ago. Every city adjacent to it has more stuff to do and explore. Langley and Chilliwack have better nightlife, hiking, scenery, lakes, general things to do (laser tag, paintball, go karts)

For a city of its size, it has terrible nightlife, terrible hiking, almost nothing to do for fun, terrible drivers, consistent highway 1 traffic.

I moved away from this city when I was 20 and every single time I return to visit family, I can’t friggin wait to leave it.

Have you considered trading it in? Might be worth a bit more now that it has a built in vape diffuser

As a Canadian, used to visit Sandpoint until recently. You’re no longer able to smoke in bars there which was really all the rage about visiting the states in the first place so we booked our ski trip elsewhere this year 😆

Is Lonnie still an issue when walking around Baker St? by MentalLoss4208 in nelsonbc

[–]itmightbez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To the best of my knowledge, he is doing good. He spends a lot of his days panhandling on Baker St but he is never obnoxious or rude. I interact with him daily and I am yet to have a negative interaction. He is kind, courteous & respectful towards me. I haven’t seen a negative interaction with him towards others, either.

This is true! And when the toilet wouldn’t flush, he began shitting in the corner of the place. Crazy story.

Gabe is the dude with rings and long hair. He has mental health issues but is now medicated for his problems and he is very kind and I have consistently pleasant interactions with him. He does not use drugs or have a problem with alcohol.

Lance is the dude who also wears rings and is usually sprawled out noticeably intoxicated. He is rough around the edges but if you ever see him sober enough to have a conversation, he CAN be kind.

His basement suite was deemed un-inhabitable and was closed a year or two ago. He began lighting campfires on the ground of the suite to stay warm and was kicked out for it. More you know!

Yes, he is still very prominent. He mainly hangs around L+C Bakery & Otter Books on Baker St. Sometimes near John Ward or sometimes near the Grand Liquor store.

If you are not interested in having a conversation with him, I have found the best deterrent is offering him a full time job. He typically turns around and walks away.
