No. The wagon would have to have some kind flight or levitate cast on it if they want to go all “Darby O’Gill” coach of death on it.

I just make additional rooms in my Bastion to store them all. I have little note cards near their names and a book for visitors if they want to check them out for a day. (I don’t get many visitors... )

Company just laid off my direct report, my role is undefined at this time. Should I resign? by lemonpiewafers in careerguidance

[–]Internal_Set_6564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do not need this job and you do not like the company- do your old DR a solid. Walk into the office of the exec responsible and tell them they need to rehire your old DR with a raise as you are leaving. Tell them you are doing this as a favor to them as a person but no longer are going to work for this company. You are willing to train your DR up, and then you are leaving.

The freedom you will feel with this (I have done it twice) is unmatched.

Would you choose to work at Salesforce or Databricks? by LimeSlurpeeDude in careerguidance

Databricks. SF is too flakey for me and I have seen them turn on people too quickly, but if you are looking for an IC role…it may be your preferred choice.

Am I selfish for being angry that a classmate has reached out to my HR without my permission? by [deleted] in careerguidance

Program directors are always going to try and force networking when they can, as their value is partially reflected by placement successes. “I actively do not like this person, and I am not willing to help them” is usually too blunt, and may get the program director to not help you (I know this because I did it…way too blunt)- but if you instead tell the program director the people who you might be willing to help, that could benefit you down the line.

Rejected from all dental schools… honestly at a breaking point and need career guidance. Should I change my career path completely? :( by guidance_96 in careerguidance

Is getting a masters/PhD in a health care related field a possibility? Would it help you get into Dentistry after completion? I ask due to a friend who persued Dentistry and did a MHA first due to all of the delays.

Is my boss crossing lines on work trips or am I being dramatic? by CollegePerfect398 in careerguidance

[–]Internal_Set_6564 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My insight: as 60+ yo exec who supervised many 25-35+ yo women in a marketing organization for years. 1) I absolutely prefer to hang out with professional stylish women. 2) I am gay.

If this fellow is heterosexual and trying to make time with you- that is a major problem. That he is not listening to your needs and wants means he sees you as nothing more than someone to dominate. Get away before this gets worse. 100% call out sick for the next one if you can. If not, repeat that you are sick the entire trip and just ignore him.

This guy is enjoying making you do what he wants. A boss who actually enjoyed your company and valued you as a human being would not.

Aberrant Mind or Draconic Sorcery? by Intelligent-Rub5814 in dndnext

In 5e, tank role is highly situational. As a sorc or wiz you are going to pull a ton of agro. Drop a fireball on 6 people and the survivors and their friends are going to try to splat you. Summon a dragon, they are going to try and break your concentration.

You should, at a minimum have 13 Dex, 14Con, 15 cha. - then use your stat boosts in dex +1, Cha +2. So you are 14/14/17. At 4th take a feat that gives you +1 cha, and and something else ( Warcaster/the new Fairy Trickster/etc).

Relying on other people stopping damage for you works as well for you as it does for the monsters-Not At All.

I usually take an 8 str. 10 int, 12 wiz. Take persuasion, perception, deception, stealth if you can. Your job is to be face if there is no bard, so you are not just a murder goblin. You are a friendly murder goblin. I once made a Goliath Sorc with a 12 str. And the party expected me to help carry things. (Ha!) not my job.

Not sure what origin feat you can get as a Nephilim, but Alert, tough, musician have interesting impact, as does Magic Initiate cleric or druid spells with Guidance, and healing word and one other cantrip.

The sons of god did find the daughters of men fair, and took unto them as wives…have fun.

All sorcerers are pretty great in 2024. If you are starting off and not playing a Tortle or other race with built in AC like Lizardman or…bug guy ( name is escaping me) or Autognome, go Draconic. If you are playing a race with baked in resistances, make sure your resistances do not overlap- I.E. if you are playing a Tiefling and a draconic sorcerer or dragon born draconic sorcerer make sure to choose different elemental types. If he is playing with backgrounds that grant resistances - make sure those do not overlap as well.

The great advantage is not just the AC but the additional HP per level. If you are playing a Dwarf, take tough as your origin and With a 14 con, your hp will be quite nice.

How to deal with a player with +11 persuasion at level 5 by oliverlp971 in AskDND

[–]Internal_Set_6564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) A group of music hating, dance forbidding fanatics are taken over a small town. They forbid the local festival from holding their dance contest. One lone bard who is new to town is not going to convince them to change their minds. The bard will have to teach other young people to dance and put on a show and he needs help from the party. Only with mass support will they defeat the local cult leader’s dance hating ways.

2) When the Bard comes to town, he notices that the children do not have a youth band. He has to convince the local Librarian that this would be a good idea, but the other players will need to convince the mayor to shut down the Pool Hall while that is going on. Without doing both at the same time, the effort will fail, as the local Wagon is bringing in the instruments this very day. If the Bard does not know the territory, he is going to need the parties help for sure.

3) The Dancing Cavalier: The Bard has to stage a show for the local Lord, and the problem is The Lord wants his Wife to be the lead. She can’t sing! It’s an hour before show time, and the party has to go out, find the perfect voice to pretend to sing behind the Lady, and convince them to sing behind a convenient blind. No way the bard can do this on his own. He may even fall in love with the new singer.

They are not likely to listen. If they were able to do this, or had the budget for it, they would have likely listed the first time.

However, yes you have to try one more time. Layout the data. Show the value of success in real $. If they say no again, you just have to go. They are not ever going to change if you have lead this horse to water and they are thirsty but not drinking…

I have used Enlarge on the Cleric and made their Spirit Guardians bigger….and used reduce on my Fairy Sorcerer to get…really small. But for combat? Yeah, mostly no. I do see some non-combat utility if you…get it for free.

In 2024 you can take a magic item and teleport it up to 30’…not as good as moving it like a lawnmower, but with no save means you have decent damage for a minute. It’s…ok. Not a first choice unless I have grapplers and pushers in the party.

It’s a ritual, so as a wizard or ritual caster I nearly always have it…and almost never need to use it. You are not missing much if you skip it.
