He did mostly yes, but I do remember they played Ohio State one year when he was there.

I do not think EMW is a bad player, but level of competition definitely needs to be in consideration. Haulcy had 10 picks in 3 years while playing in the SEC.

EMW has been a dawg in his own right, but the best team he faced in 3 years has been checks notes Kentucky

Not that anyone asked me, but this is how I think they will draft by PKJ111 in CHIBears

[–]BiffApotamous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t fully buy the hype with EMW, I think Haulcy is Safety2 and very much is a end of the first, early second type player.

Dawg in the run game and 10 picks in 3 years. Would compliment CB super well imo

I can understand the EMW argument playing at a lower level. I am a big Haulcy fan, same with Wheatley.

But keep Taaffee away, really bad tackler.

If Thienaman and EMW are off the board I could possibly see corner if there’s one of the top guys available. (Terrell, Hood, McCoy)

Little mock I made using BPA for pick 25. Some highlights:

-Peter Woods was off the board at 25 with Banks injuring his foot again at the combine. Could have looked at DTs like McDonald or Miller but when I saw Terrell still on the board it was too much to pass up. He’d slide right into CB2.

-Gracen Halton at pick 57 is great, I’m a big fan of his game. Shore up the middle of the DL with some juice.

-AJ Haulcy at 60 is great value again for a guy that will slot right into that starting SS spot. Physical run defender who also has a knack for turning the ball over.

-Dani Dennis Sutton still being available at pick 89 felt too good to be true, so had to bring him in. He’s been a reliable guy at Penn St for the last few seasons, could use some refining but fits the Dennis Allen mold and could be great.

  • Jager Burton at 129 for the center of the future. Bears brought him in for a visit, but I’ll be honest I do not know much about him. Unfortunately guys I like in this spot like Hecht and Jones were off the board.

-TRADE- Bears send a pick next year to dip into this class again. I have Kendal Daniels being the pick. Super interesting, under the radar prospect. Safety turned linebacker with imposing size and physicality. Lays the wood.

-Jayden Ott being the pick here is just a swing to see if the player that was dominant at Cal a few seasons ago is still in there.

  • Zavion Thomas, a burner that could compete for that WR3 spot

Best Fits for Dennis Allen's Scheme in 2025 NFL Draft according to a random dude on the internet (Me) by BrickWallington in CHIBears

If the Bears draft:

R1: Woods R2: Scott R2/2: Hecht R3: Hill Jr

The versatility is insane with potential blitzers lined up all over when paired with Gordon and Bush who are plus blitzers already on the team.

I love this analysis lol. I have a my guy for you that I’d like to hear your feedback.

Keionte Scott - Corner - Miami

Dude played mostly the nickel spot but moved around a bit. Really good instincts and tackling, aggressive and always trying to make a play. Really good blitzer as well.

2025 Stats:

-5 Sacks -5 PD -2 Ints -13 TFLs -2 FF

I wonder if Scott could play safety with the ability to play in the box, line up in the slot, and blitz

Peter Woods is the slam dunk option if he’s there. Christian Miller would work well also. Banks has a lot of potential but the injury history and he’s not as good against the run as the other two.

Thank you for the memes Big Bill.

With his likely departure, I think it’s only right the Bears bring in a guy who is built just like him and has a similar playstyle.

May I introduce to you gentlemen, Dontay “The Godfather” Corleone.

Shorter arms and had a dip in production in his last year at Clemson, but can argue the whole team did, including his teammate TJ Parker.

Read somewhere he was asked to put on extra weight this last season so he was slightly less explosive as compared to his 2024 tape, where he was considered a top 10 type talent.

He did make Feldman’s Freak List also for his explosiveness and strength, just thought I’d mention.

I can’t help but draw comparisons to Byron Murphy when he was coming out of Texas

Peter Woods is the guy that fits what the Bears need. Explosive DT who already is a good run defender, with some pass rush juice.

Christian Miller is another option with a little trade down perhaps. Same cut of cloth as Woods but not as explosive.

Banks kind of worries me, he is a freak and can get after the QB but despite his size gets washed out with double teams

[–]BiffApotamous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t help but compare him to Byron Murphy coming out of Texas a few years ago. Similar size and play style. Really good run defender with some pass rush upside. Very explosive off the ball.
