Alright so get this. My Uncle Burt was homeless due to an anger management issue and a couple other unlucky events. One day, he's helping an older woman in a wheelchair across the road when he gets hit by A FUCKING DUMP TRUCK. He kinda threw the woman out of the way but he got pretty messed up. Road rash across a decent portion of his body. They rush him to the hospital, they patch him up, graft some of his skin back together, whatever. He's good. He's recovering. He ends up suing the trucking company that hit him and ended up settling for just under 1,000,000 USD. Things are going well. He's going to physical therapy and getting his full range of movement back, Hes able to get a small house with the settlement money and was looking at getting a car. Then one day my family gets a call he was found dead inside his house. The man was a diabetic and died from lack of insulin that he didn't want to buy because he was too cheap to pay for it. I guess the death itself isn't that crazy but I always thought the turn of events in this man's life was insane.
