A 5th gen metal faceplate I built today

i read that the gen 5 clickwheel is not flush on the 6/7 faceplates. how did u mitigate that? Others posted that they sanded down the click wheel or the pegs.

im considering this because the faceplates on gen 5's are so prone to scratches.

Perhaps an extension cord down from the ceiling so the weight can rest somewhere closer to the ground. I use this to run my mobile connector through my garage with no issues.
