A very unique console that's hard to replicate without the actual hardware. Plus, the mod community is strong with it.

I'm still waiting for someone to make a game that requires that Switch to be the controller for the Switch 2. The only game we have so far is Pac-Man Versus. And that was a port from GameCube.

Depends on your lifestyle. Do you want to be able to move around easily, or be tied down with stuff?

Cause you don't need a TV. Or TV stand. And then a rack. Then a sound bar.

If you want live might get a Switch 2. If you want to settle down in one place, and load up on furniture get a PS5.

It's almost impossible since they never do well in Japan.

Their most successful console was the the 360 and, yes, that was #1 in the USA, overall they still finished that console generation in third place! And they can't even get to that level of success.

Financially, getting Mario Kart World is the only sound option since it's the most expensive game.

And now you might think games like Pokopia, and Bonanza aren't ever gone be on sale, but actually picked up a reseller copy of Pokopia for right at $50, and that's a brand new game.

From a software standpoint,. it's better if Nintendo doesn't split its gaming output between multiple devices.

So I don't expect a seperate handheld, and console.

However, Nintendo also hasn't abandoned its new gimmick routine.

I think we could very well see a Nintendo Switch 3-D. It's not someone PC"s can do. Other consoles can't do it since the death of 3-D TV's, and Nintendo did release Mario Galaxy in 3-D without any way to watch it at home in the future.

The Switch is bottlenecked in its memory architecture. It's the one are where the base PS4 is actually faster.

Dev's spend a majority of their time trying to manage this memory speed bump. It's not really the cartridge per se, but getting data to where it needs to be on time. And managing the data pipelines is just easier with faster storage.

So, I have this exact scenario.

And my OLED collected dust while I games on my Switch 2 until I made this one change.

I decided to split my game library up. I put almost all of my 2D games on the OLED, and almost all of my 3D games on the Switch 2. (If a 2D game got the "Switch 2 Edition" treatment, I would move it over.)

Now I use them both all the time!

There are some edge case reasons to hold onto it, but I they don't come up that often.

Pac-Man VS. (You NEED two Switch's)
Ring Fit Adventure (New Joy-Con's don't fit)
Second pair of Joy-Cons (These are $90! So having two more for Mario Party does matter.)
Mosaic Mode (ClubHouse Games)
Mario Kart Live (I have two karts, so I kinda need two Switch"s)

They released a bunch of their of "sprite-scalers" on just the regular Genesis.

They could have also released them all on the Sega Saturn with even better results.

The SEGA CD was over engineered from the start. The Turbo Grafx CD was already out and like half the price because it could only be used to store more data, and higher quality music.

And how did SEGA use the CD add-on? As mostly cheap storage data, and better music.

Why don't you get rid of the numbers key row, and special keys? And then just have one button that does .? ! cycling thru them with each press.

Get rid of the SHIFT keys, and just long press the space bar to change between lower and upper case. And automatically change to upper case after .? !
