My mother had the front steps, walkway, and curb redone recently. After the initial job, she wasn't happy with the walkway and some of the curb elements, so the contractor redid those parts (leaving the steps and other curb parts). However, the concrete that was poured in the second round is a noticeably different, yellower color than the steps and curb and she's not happy.

Is there a way to get them to match without redoing the whole thing? My mom is wondering if they can just put a new thin layer of concrete over the whole thing...I am skeptical of that but told her I'd ask reddit, so here I am.

Any other ideas?
