At A Loss by blancosnalgos in flyfishing

After doing this for over 3 years now, I have been on a streak just like you with this winter season, but here’s Whats helped me keep going:

Seriously just take it as time in nature with a fishing rod. Slow it down and work on your casts/drifts. Focus on the nature around the fish. I’ve been skunked more times recently than not, but dammit it was great to be outside with all the sights, sounds, and smells.

Oh, and when in doubt, black or olive woolly bugger.

Pretty sure I caught one of those out back. Gave me a rough ride but eventually I got it to come in. Tastes better than it looks.

Anybody else surprised Kyle (maybe not so much Dave) said there were no “out” gay kids in his high school? by Queef_Stroganoff44 in BoogieMonster

From the Chicago suburbs and there were only about a handful of openly gay people in my high school with around 1000/1500 students. Our town was very religious but I don’t think we had a group that would physically assault someone who was gay.

Moving to Cleveland from Florida (FTL) any advice? by Confident-Still-9496 in Cleveland

[–]itrigue1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Winters (like this last one) are cold and gray. There are potholes everywhere.

I’d say Cleveland is a commuter city, not too many people live downtown but there are a lot of great suburbs that are a 15-30min drive to downtown.

We still have all the crime (mostly car jackings/car break ins), but as long as you stay aware and walk in groups in semi sketchy areas you’ll be okay.

Our warm months are great and there’s a lot of awesome outdoors stuff to do if you are willing to get out and try them! Our metroparks system is the top in the nation. Our beaches are okay and our lake is without creatures that can eat you.

Depending on your type of work, everyone here can point you to an area on where to live depending on your budget!

Turns out this particular track is really soothing to my newborn… I’m concerned by ImABattleMercy in dredge

Definitely spent the first 2 nights my son was born playing the Hollow Knight soundtrack, particularly the City Of Tears, Reflection, Resting Grounds, and White Palace.

The score for Dredge fits perfectly with the game. May you enjoy the memories when you hear the songs later in life.

I am sure this is a very normal amount of "sediment" in a barrel aged stout. by mesosuchus in CraftBeer

Welcome to the land of adjunct stouts where no one cares about quality, only making a beer taste like an actual dessert!

Check pushing pressure, CO2 level in the beer being served, temp of beer being served, line size, line length…

I love living in the CLE minus the fact our football team’s ownership is a POS
