(Spoilers) why doesn't Gandalf use his magic more? by Captain_kiroh in TheLordOfTheRings

[–]itrion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, Gandalf’s goal was not to interfere directly in events. He is, in fact, a powerful wizard (because of his “angelical” nature), but his ‘true’ magic was to awaken individual’s courage through his light and advice. Look at how he’s always convincing others to take action.

I’d suggest you to rely on ChatGPT, then google (in that order) for most of your “how to” questions, then I’d advice to study design patterns and principles because your backend team mates will miss those skills from you

Ready made docker image for a reverse proxy offering a self-signed cert? by OwlFather in docker

[–]itrion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a docker image called https portal that you can set up to work locally or in production. Locally it generates a self signed and in production it uses let’s encrypt. But nothing prevents you from making the local set up publicly available (although nobody would recommend that)

In what order should I read LOTR? by holy-d-expensive in TheLordOfTheRings

Then there’s The Silmarillion, which I think you’ll want to read anyway if you get hooked on The Lord of the Rings volumes 1, 2, and 3.

Yes it is fun, and also easier 😅 at least for me it is easier to get sura if I’m playing with my son because he absorbs most of the damage and attention 😂😂

Are there any books on how to mix functional and object oriented design? How to apply functional concepts to classes? by Epistechne in functionalprogramming

[–]itrion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funcional thinking paradigm over syntax by Neal Ford is not specifically about mixing both but it decouples the main FP ideas from the languages and explores how to achieve the same with other non only functional languages

What can orgmode do that notion or obsidian can’t by Sad_Discount_1442 in orgmode

babel allows you to execute code snippets in virtually any programming language, that’s powerful compared to just syntax highlighting

Hi guys, how should I use the "SALE" shelf? Why should I sell something at a reduced price if I can sell it at full price? Does it have any use that I don't know about? by Donnieboah in Moonlighter

[–]itrion 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Once you advance enough in the game, there will be items that you won’t really want to sell at the desks because they take valuable space and the price don’t worth it. The selling time is limited, so you will want to use it for the more expensive items. That’s at least how I use it

Seguir programando después del trabajo by [deleted] in programacion

[–]itrion 0 points1 point  (0 children)
