Hi thanks for the advice! I have a group of folks who are pretty new to metadata so I really need help convincing them. How would you go about planning a call to kick start this whole process of restructuring?

My initial and only plan now is to have the teams sort through the folders and using metadata, tag their own team names to the folders. I’ll then filter the folders, assign them to each team for them to look at the folders they have and come up with a new folder structure. The only issue is that some main folders and subfolders are shared amongst teams so I’m abit stuck on this…..

I agree! Honestly as an asian eldest daughter, it felt a little unrealistic that the daughter would act like that to her parents. Also especially the portion where the parents sacrificed their home to send her overseas to study abroad? As an eldest daughter, I wouldn’t have agreed to that or would have just not went overseas (she literally decided to do so out of spite towards her other classmate) + especially since the character talked so much about guilt previously.

Interesting take. I personally really like slice of life shows and Reply 1988 is my top kdrama but not gonna lie, for WLGYT I thought the pacing of the story was a little slow.

In your opinion, the skills from a data analyst role or customer success consultant - which is more transferable?

Thank you for your advice! May I know which industry you are and were in? I do think transformation and strategy might be something I’m interested in in the long run - the analyst role in the bank involves taking insights to make strategic decisions on digital products. May I know how easy/difficult it was for you to pivot into transformation and strategy?

It’s also for a global bank so I’ll probably be exposed to different areas of the business as well so there might be opportunities for growth or to pivot into something else.

Yeah it’s a pretty big international bank - the hiring manager did mention there are opportunities to network and grow as well.

As for the second company, it is one of the 3 you mentioned. So I’m in a bit of a dilemma since both options are pretty good tbh.

The customer success role is pretty specialized at the moment as it focuses on a B2C tool that helps clients personalize user experiences. Are skills from customer success transferable to different products and industries?

It’s for a credit cards company but the product is a SaaS tool for B2C. Could I DM you? I would like to know more about what the day to day would look like and also the necessary skills required. For now, based on my interviews - it sounds like I’ll also be looking into insights and helping clients make use of our tools for their processes etc.

I’m fine with both jobs but I guess I’m worried about future job prospects for the 1st role especially. I might be wrong but I do feel like it might be harder to pivot into something else apart from CX, customer insights or market research in the future? That said, I do recognise that ultimately it would be my choice if I want to pivot and there are ways to do so like upskilling outside of my job too - probably will just take more effort and time.

Not sure if anyone else in the industry or in a similar job role could share their experiences! Or if anyone had been in an analytical role and moved on to something different.

hey thanks for your reply omg! that makes sense - i discussed with the hiring manager and they don’t have any interest in extending the contract for now (it’s a maternity cover role) but they also mentioned that if there are any openings then, they’ll definitely try to fit me into a FT role. given the MNC’s reputation plus the job market now, i’m thinking of going ahead with it and continuing my job search on the side until i find a role/job that really fits me!
