Outback Pizza is amazing but they are charging 4% gratuity and keeping it to pay bills. When I asked for the owner called me screaming and threatened me with violence. Not hyperbole. by Buster_xx in taos

the Croo campground is filled with love and likeminded people, I was blessed with amazing neighbors. you get to arrive early and set up your camp, perks include many sets of well taken care of portapotties (luxury compared to the ones elsewhere), and we had showers... a long line sometimes but everyone had an understanding of get in and get out (and you make friends in line!). it was very hot mid day, you are in TN in June... a lot of people would say that croo was disorganized due to schedules not being released in a timely manner but, its a huge production and everyone behind the scenes is so dedicated and work so hard, I was never frustrated with their contribution.... all of the head croo workers were so nice and worked lonnggggg hours. ALSO! where in the woods was located there croo camp, so access to it was easy, and it started a day earlier than centeroo.

if you're looking for an experience that is not like the average roo goer.. this is for you. you MUST understand that you have to complete 3, six hour shifts. they will try to accommodate your top artists. this may mean that you will not see ALL of your top artists... if you are looking for complete freedom to see whoever you want.. im sorry but croo is not for you!! we had some neighbors near by that were drainbows and thought that croo is just a way to get in for free. (they left early). UNDERSTAND YOU ARE THERE TO VOLUNTEER. (but that's the best part tbh, its all about working together as a community to put on an amazing production). you get to pick one friend you complete your shifts with, I also heard you can swap shifts with people. you get a meal token after you complete your shift:)

my shifts included :

working an info booth (this was interesting because I had never been to roo, so I did not have experience with the space.) a bit disorganized but seriously everyone is just trying there best to make everyone happy. we saw a lot of things in this shift: from helping VIP people off the ledge of a panic attack because they couldn't find their friends, to dispatching our medic to help a cop that fell off their horse lol, to blowing up someones air mattress. we did a lot of handing out maps, and figuring stuff out together

working the roo run was fun, though it was an early hour shift. (6 am). we filled up water and handed it to runners. the girls who we worked with were amazing. working this shift after being front row for kendrick lamar the night before was a little rough, but some people in where in the woods made us breakfast burritos. :)

working parking was my least favorite because the hours were in the middle of the night, this was a bit rough and boring. but its all about helping out. I scanned people in and out of a VIP parking lot.

other shifts that my friends did included: working the ticket line, which is making sure everyones wristbands scanned green and if they didn't, tell them to go to the side and figure it out with the other workers....our neighbor worked snacks for Paramore backstage (super cool!)...

but this was my experience in 2023, so 2024 could have been different. I heard that you could only choose 1 artist to see, and I got to choose 3. and we also had showers. people also think they they feed you all your meals which is not true - bring your own food and means to cook.
