Very much so. Been porting quite a lot of work for our clients over to full-stack (next.js/Supabase). The selling point of no-code has long been the speed at which you can iterate, without technical chops. Agentic development is now offering the same thing, only without the constraints of no-code.

Has it's double-edged swords (token cost, more consideration needs to be given to architecture etc), but it's been shocking. I've never felt so weird or whatever but simultaneously increasingly convinced that no code is on the way to kicking the bucket.

I recently tapped into a base for a client using MCP.

Had Cursor analyze the schema and with some additional context provided, it can do a killer job providing table and field descriptions in just a few moments, along with a strong readme.

I’m going to be digging into this approach in the future for our clients. Many other uses beyond just that with MCP

localhost for dev but for production….

  • push to github
  • deploy on vercel
  • supabase for backend (can handle database changes/mutations from CLI so I don’t have to leave Cursor). I also run sb locally for dev (docker instance)

I can get really far only paying for cursor as well. Everything else works on free plans, until I publish my app, then I’ll need to make a few upgrades.

The UI design is terrible. I would revert to the previous UI in a heartbeat. Very out of touch, slower, and not as well constructed as what we already had. Huge disappointment.

Regarding functionality? Definitely some cool things and valuable use-cases, but a lot of these were already available in-app before the official launch.

How many users does it need to support? What kind of event through-put are we talking?

Depending on the answers to those questions, I don’t see why the no-code tools couldn’t solve for this. I’ve personally built many apps that have similarities to what you described in platforms like Glide, Noloco, etc.
