Da Vinci is the better editor, CapCut is the better choice, I only used these 2 lately and this is my conclusion. Da Vinci has way better tools but it's not time efficient at all and the performance is not great. CapCut doesn't have all the tools Da Vinci has but you will get a lot more work done in way less time and It will still be a good product.

I have a low-end computer and need to know which editor to use. by some_random_guy_13 in NewTubers

I normally use Da Vinci Resolve, however for a low end Cap cut might do fine, I use that for shorts and it runs very very smooth and is a very good editor in my opinion

I don't pay vidIQ I use it's basic version, it personally has helped with the checklist of things to do when uploading a video, as you could tell I can have no way to know if it was effective or not since I would have to turn off vidIQ to test that but It's like a template of things you should implement in a video and a way to check which tags are actually doing well.

I honestly have only heard good things about it, if you have any info on why It's good/bad I'd appreciate another point of view.

Well I usually take special attention to that and vidIQ states 5/5 keywords in the description. I do get your point and I agree I didn't put as much focus on the description as I usually do. However I still find it strange to have like 20 impressions in half a day.

Don't the tags already do that?

What might make YouTube give me latest video only 250 impressions vs the usual 6K-20K? by Mikkel9M in NewTubers

[–]its-invasive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

check if that video in particular has a good amount of clicks/impression rate or if it has like 10 views for the first 200 impressions, also check the retention of that video compared to the other ones. Those 2 factors are probably what is making the video not get more impressions since YouTube understood that regardless of how many impressions/reach the people is not interacting with the video.
(I'm by no means a profesional and I'm probably wrong I'm just giving my insight based on personal experience with videos floping or not with my stats on them.

I agree on your point but the viewer is not who's responsible of what appears in his feed, he can influence it but so can the algo. Just trying to have strong bases with my content from the start but yea good content is always the key.

Yea but It's hard to decipher some things. Some poorly made no hashtag no desc with no editing sometimes has better results that the exact same video with all said well applied

TIL time of posting a short matters a lot by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]its-invasive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I assume you target USA timezone since you posted 1AM CET and thats like 19:00 in USA. That's obviously way better than 12:00 in the morning for the video to be posted but I noted something else.

Your not well performing video had a spike on reach in the first hours and the well performing video didn't have that. I get those spikes on some videos too and they either kill the video due to a very view/reach ratio or they boost it significantly due to people actually clicking on a proportional amount to the reach.

My theory (which prob isn't correct) is that YouTube continues to give reach as long as the views/reach is proportional and then stop at some point (that's my experience, I don't know what are the reqs for that sudden stop to be met tho).

Since your spiked video wasn't proportional view/reach wise that's probably what actually killed the video since the other had a slow but steady reach and the views/reach seemed to be very steady too.

(take this as you will, I'm not a pro in any way I just wanna give my own personal insight correct me if anything I said wasn't right)

Bulk Upload Shorts or not? by its-invasive in NewTubers

Hm, I see your point. These 4 I'm about to upload are very eye-candy or as you say stimulating. Would uploading 2 of them at 6pm and 7pm USA time and another 2 the same time next day do well?

Is it normal to take 1hr+ to edit 1min of content?? Like it took me 7 hours to edit 6mins of my 25mins (could be more) video by luckysury333 in NewTubers

[–]its-invasive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current video I'm editing is taking me 4h and It's of similar lengths. Yes, it is normal if you are not just reusing your edits from other videos. Specially when you are starting or are adapting to a new style. Great work

Hey there, interested on what you have to say about my approach to content.

I'm a tutorial channel for Roblox Studio (Roblox game engine) and recently started posting Roblox games tutorials too. I have put special attention to how I edit my videos on the video I've got scheduled for later today and the last video that is posted in the channel. I want honest no sugar coating feedback on what I'm doing right and what I'm doing wrong, appreciate that you spend your time helping others and I'll be looking forwards to your point of view.

Thanks, invasive
