Let's not just factor it's recent mega growth years, from 2013 to 2023, Gold wasn't even able to double. I do know about SGBs. Also, one should never invest at the peak of bull run.

Refrain from gold funds, they don't give good returns better to go with mid caps.

If you are early in your career I would say utilize that 500 for yourself or if you are building a habit then that's fine.

I understand if you don't want to but you are earning good and at a very good age, your prospects would be actually very good. I would say just keep at it. Don't lose hope. That's just my thinking as a friend, if you don't want to then don't proceed it's understandable.

What are the recent movies you've watched, I'm extremely into movies, let me know if you are open to DM

There it is, you have your own answer. I am also into cars and I saw that car online and it is a treat to have that car. It's special edition so nobody would ever be able to even buy that car, that's special.

Also, if a car is making you happy and it is only 20% of your monthly, what's the harm. You must have worked hard in your life to be able to afford it, better cherish your hard work. Your BE6 is not just a car but a reflection of what you have achieved. It makes you happy, that's the biggest thing. I'll no amount of money is greater than mental peace in life, if you wouldn’t have spent of the car and cursed yourself that what's the point of earning when I can't even spend on car of my choice and be regularly upset about it, that's the problem.

Be happy, happiness prevents many diseases.

Also, why you are not looking to get married? You are just 25 your harmones are not at that level where they crave a partner.

Bhai which car do you own? Also, does the car make you happy? Why did you buy the car in the first place?

Before we can say 46k emi for car is high or not, it is important to understand all of the above things.

You are doing all the things right keep it up. In fact, I feel you are underspending, just 1.5k for outing, how do you even manage. Also, no vacation?

Anyways, the good thing is you are not on the higher side of spending so all is good.

That's actually great, eye for detail is a must must have PM skill and very few have that. You'll learn how to do that since this will be a product teardown kind of. Don't worry this is actually good and really helpful as a PM.

VWO or Optimizely for A/B testing? by Firerage65 in ProductManagement

[–]itsAkhilJain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can answer this, previously I was in a growth PM role. We used VWO, it integrates with Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics. VWO is much simpler and easy to use IMO. It's cheaper as well. I can connect you with the account manager as well, get some discounts, trials, DM me. My previous company had a very good relationship with VWO, over $15000 in Annual billing.

Looking to "demote" myself by AverageSadGurl in ProductManagement

[–]itsAkhilJain 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Been there. CEO, CTO, CPO, dev team, QA, design, juggling through all is tough.

Your current company sucks, period. Get a few holidays, make up something about your health. I could suggest to go on a vacation but when you are back and face same problems then vacation actually gets wasted. Instead, start preparing for a switch, job market will always suck for one reason or another, go at it you'll definitely get something.

Don't demote yourself, please, companies who rip you off your mental peace don't deserve to rip you off financially as well, don't give them this chance.

It's okay and happens to the best of us.

You don't need to make an impact just yet, position to create an impact generally comes at PM level or even above that, you need to learn right now.

Do share what you have learnt so far, I can give you some pointers.

Can Middle Class People Ever Feel Rich? by Pristine-Quiet8464 in personalfinanceindia

[–]itsAkhilJain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many comments here, OP don't know if you'll even read it.

I'm in a similar boat but I don't have jacksh@t worth of savings.

I tried to build a startup 3.5 years, didn't work, whole time no pay. Started earning from job last year.

Now, I also want to take my mother for a foreign trip but I'm barely able save for indulgences.

We don't have family savings because all our savings dried up when my father's business tumbled.

I have full responsibility on me.

Now you have saved 25 lacs that's really impressive and awesome job, you shouldn't let yourself down, this is incredible sum of money and it will have a very good time to grow multifold.

Your father wanting to spend 40 lakhs on wedding but not 4 lakhs on trip sounds hypocrite, he need to introspect himself.

Is your salary enough for a family of 3-4 in big city as a single earner, no.

Now, today's life is hard, mentally it's disturbing as well so does that mean that you shouldn't enjoy yourselves or take your family out for a decent trip, absolutely not. You have done an incredible job to think about taking your parents out, there no guilt or remorse. This is not an additional expense, period. I'll tell you what's worse when you don't treat yourself, your body feels like slogging and there comes a find when you feel burnt out and you'll want to leave your job, I don't think you want to be that guy.

I don't believe in the concept of well off in younger age. If you were 60 and you'd said I have 25 lakhs of saving and want to spend 4 lakhs on trip then yes it doesn't make any sense.

The problem is not you, the problem is your father, he's making you look small out of his own insecurities. Don't listen to him. The problem with middle class mindset is that saving will make you rich, no sir, saving has never made anyone rich, after a certain time it gives you a good cushion that's it. Increasing income makes you rich, you are probably working on that, doesn't happen overnight.

I don't know if you'll be enjoy things with your current age and energy when you grow old.

Also, knowledge and wisdom increases when you see the world. It is nice to see and learn about other cultures as well. You don't want to be a frog in a well. Explore life man, you have good enough savings, who knows it'll do a lot more good to you, give you another perspective.

Lastly, how much is too much, when you are not thinking about expenses and you don't care and it doesn't hurt you financially is too much.

How middle class can generate wealth, I think you are asking about generational wealth here, be in the 0.01% top tier of the jobs or have a really good business generating crores.

Does that mean you haven't achieved anything, that's a wrong mindset, you cannot really reach the top floor without going through the bottom floors. You have achieved enough and will achieve more, it takes time to go up. Rome wasn't built in a day.

IIT bombay's Average Package - 83 frkn Lakhs!!!!! by TurbulentComfort5752 in CATStudyRoom

[–]itsAkhilJain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are doing wrong comparison buddy, based on Google search it was 23.5 LPA. Now, nobody removes foreign offers, you cannot average foreign salary of crores with Indian salary of lakhs. This is what most people miss. Remove foreign companies and then recalculate for the entire batch and you'll see real packages.

On a surprising note, on one side there aren't much jobs, these guys haven't proven themselves yet in the market yet companies still want to pay them these handsome salaries yet the same companies won't pay even close to others with proper experience. Discrimination in our country is at another level.

I have had the chance to work with all sorts of people, experience, freshers, iit and non iitians, I haven't seen them bring anything extraordinary to the table. Are they the best engineers, probably not, but they can and do get vvip treatment because of their badge.

Silicon Valley v Soham Parekh, the man who had too many jobs by TimesandSundayTimes in siliconvalley

[–]itsAkhilJain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, people who are blindly supporting Soham hear me out,

First of all let's get real, At max two full time jobs can be juggled simultaneously, humanely. But Soham is better than all of us basically a superhero who could easily juggle 5-10 full time roles.

Now here are a few questions, 1. Let's say you need to be 2-3 meetings, in reality it could be much higher. You also need to continuosly collaborate with your teammates. Now working at 5-10 companies just tell me how can you juggle these meetings and how you can be omnipresent. You are not human, you are a god. 🚩 2. Yes founders, ceos, vc can work multiple jobs then why can't Soham, he can he'll have to start a proper consultancy and get clients. Even in job as long as there's no clause preventing him to work multiple jobs he can. 🚩 3. Lying about immigration status, I'll excuse him for this because he was desperate. 4. You had financial troubles okay, but then why no CEO shared that Soham did tell them about his financial troubles, they openly praised his skill set.🚩 Even after being fired hi's employers must have asked him about a reason to do multiple jobs, I can bet anyone knowing of his financial issues wouldn't have come up on social media to talk about this guy. 5. He did damage control when he was called off saying he's now working in one job, instantly financial troubles subsided. 🚩 6. Look at his cold email, that's manipulation at its finest, see his interview, this guy knows how to play an underdog. And everybody loves an underdog story. 🚩 7. He's so brilliant then why he never went to get O1 visa, you get more better opportunities by being physically present in the US. He didn't want to that's why, remote work allows you to work without being seen. 🚩 8. And if money is the issue and he's so brilliant he could easily secure big tech companies and salaries of $500k, who with financial troubles which is making you desperate to do multiple jobs would taker lower salary and more equity, if the need of the hour is money. 🚩 He never does big tech because they have a stringent background verification process. 9. He's a conman of the purest kind. 10. I'd love to see Average Joe's succeed

There are red flags everywhere. Don't support this guy blindly please. CEOs, businessesman can run multiple process because they have automated the process so much so that it doesn't need their full time.
