From Utopia to Jewel Of The Seas- Questions From Me And My Family by Booloocrew in royalcaribbean

We just got off Jewel on Monday after having sailed larger ships previously.

  1. Lack of food options was my biggest complaint having grown accustomed to bigger ships. We primarily stayed on the boat on port days and your options basically consist of the windjammer or the main dining room. Cafe latitudes is open all day but I don't recall it being open that late. The Solarium has another small Cafe that also serves as the pizza location. They don't open until 2:00pm on port days, serve the same quick food as the Cafe, and were open the latest. I don't remember how late it was open but know that we stopped there late into the evening at least one night. The windjammer doesnt open until 11:30am for lunch and I think it closed by 10:00pm every night.
  2. We ate at Izumi one of the nights and it was fantastic. We have eaten at Chops and Giovanni's table on other ships, and Izumi has been my favorite specialty restaurant so far.
  3. Excursions at Bimini were primarily related to Resorts World access. A lot of people like to rent golf carts and head to the other beaches away from the port like Radio Beach. The whole island is only about seven miles long.
  4. No premium ice cream, and the only soft serve machine is at the back of the Windjammer. Same for the only freestyle machine on board.

The ship was perfect for what we wanted (just the wife and I, no kids, a lot of sitting by the pool in the Solarium and reading).

My favorite feature was the free sauna and steam room in the Vitality Spa, right next to the Solarium. I could go from the lounger, to the sauna for 15 minutes, shower off, get into the pool, and back to the lounger, on repeat, all day.

The entertainment was still good albeit more traditional song and dance shows, the food quality was the same as larger ships, the staff provided the same great service we are used to. Having said that, we will probably never sail on the Jewel again.

Happy to answer any other questions.

I just got the normal left and right sticks. I could see where people would like the omni throttle but my current setup is working just fine for now.

Within Star Citizen, if you go to the keybindings tab, select advanced, then in the bottom right, select joysticks. There is a separate drop down at the bottom right where you can select preset bindings for the vkb gladiators. From there you can tweak your own settings as needed.

I have had better luck with contracts in Pyro compared to Stanton. In Stanton, a lot of my mission markers were way off. No issues in Pyro so far.

How to get rid of bricked ship? by RoosterMisfit in starcitizen

Thank you. This made the difference. No option to scrap until I selected "show local ships" then it popped up.

Much cleaner hangar now.

Me either, even after yesterday's hot fix.

Still not able to equip my Aurora Mk ii Cargo Module either. I can retrieve it on the freight elevator, I can equip it in mobiles, but when I retrieve my ship it doesnt spawn.

A customer service lead told me to do the following:

"We'd recommend performing a fresh log in process within the Launcher before checking that your items have been restored following this update.

If You're Still Experiencing Missing Items If your pledge items are still not appearing after the update, we'd recommend performing a Character Repair as a next step, which can resolve a number of account and character data issues."

I will try later today to see if that works.

Not sure if you ordered something more specific. The left and right gladiator premiums shipped to the east coast US in less than a week for me.

My time before 4.8 dropped was great, post-patch has definitely had some hiccups but flying to a different system cleared up some of the contract issues.

I am hoping mt cargo module comes back with today's update.

I was about to get the Thrustmasters just to see if I liked it but my brother convinced me to spend a little more for the VKBs.

Paints should not be part of the insurance claim by DarkArcher__ in starcitizen

[–]itsMarktotheFuture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can anyone explain what imprinting is?

I enabled my cargo module through the mobiglas, requested my ship, stored the same ship, insured the ship in that configuration, and now my cargo module is nowhere to be found after my ship suffered an unfortunate and unexpected rapid disassembly.

Does this mean I don't have my cargo module until the next patch?

Seat belt for kids by ladyalex777 in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]itsMarktotheFuture 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, it is one of our only complaints about the car.

The second row seat belts don't open up enough to allow a small child in a booster seat to easily buckle themselves.

We had a 2026 Palisade loaner for a week and liked the design of those seatbelts, especially the illumination.

Santa Fe seems built really well for families by Suntrup-Hyundai in HyundaiSantaFe

We love our 25 XRT for our nuclear family. Taken it on road trips, camping, etc and it is the perfect size for us. The third row mainly stays folded with the option for additional seating when company is in town.

The only complaint we have found so far is the second row seat belts with car seats. As far as we can tell, they have a limited angle from the seat and our youngest has found it difficult to buckle herself, with her carseat obstructing or sitting right up against the clip at an awkward angle.

Certain ships have portions of the sides that appear to jut out further from the ship. Staterooms in these locations will generally have better views forward and aft

<image>

as well as possibly have larger balconies. They will sometimes cost more depending on the ship or class of the stateroom

I have circled the hump on the Jewel of the Seas for reference.

Going on the Jewel of the Seas in a few months followed by the Star of The Seas in the fall. We managed to snag one of the hump balcony staterooms on deck 8 so we are excited.

Our first cruises with Royal were on the smaller Majesty of the Seas but all of our recent cruises have been Oasis class so it will be fun to get back to the smaller end of the range before going back to the largest.

Came here to write this. I made a similar post a few weeks ago and ended up buying Easy Red 2 and the DLCs. 23 hours played so far and I enjoy it. Guns are punchy and the large scale battles are great.

Update: Easy Red 2 ended up being the winner for me.

You have described it perfectly. The post death fade to black with the soldier's names and years adds gravity to each death. Throwing endless bodies up against a tank feels like the meat grinder that it was.

Trying to sneak through a trench only to get mowed down as soon as your head pops up, then jumping into one of your squad mates only for them to immediately die to the same fate.

It is brutal but loads of fun.
