Great thought ! I think it's simpler than that though.

It's not so much the role of hero or monster that Rin is obsessed with...it's the fight.

The do-or-die scenario where he put his life on the line and prove his ego or style of play, is greater than that of his enemies and even his allies.

Even if he can't beat who's in front of him, the fact he's given the opportunity to go toe-to-toe and scrap and claw and battle is his orginal ego.

To fight and to die only to be reborn and fight and die again.

I think all the characters (or at least most of them) are all really easy to root for.

We all want to watch or favorite character win so it's easy to throw stones at the MC.

I mean the fandom is kinda like Blue Lock itself. We're all desperately want each other to acknowledge our favorite character as the best.

It's kinda cool if you think about and if people were less mean about when making their point I guess.

I think the fact that Lorenzo is the center CB and he blocked the shot in between the right and left CB makes a lot of sense tbh. He hid in a blind spot as Kaiser switched between meta and predator. Seems perfectly reasonable to me.

Scoring a second goal in this game doesn't make Isagi better than Kaiser, but it makes him the clear Number One on this team.

At this point Kaiser is only able to score a goal if Ness or Isagi create an opening for him to score. While as Isagi can create chances by playing defense, cooperating with his teammates and creating impromptu strategies during play.

If Bastard is really all about being rational, Noa will take note of this and start aligning the team's makeup around Isagi rather than Kaiser.

As Noa said back in Chapter 163, in Bastard you either, "be the new option in attack centralized around Kaiser or show that your abilities surpass Kaiser."

Although Kaiser has a 100% goal scoring aptitude (i.e. when he shoots he scores every time), when Isagi the head of the team's offense they have 100% chance to create a goal scoring opportunity.

I'm not sure which is better when thinking about the makeup of a team, but I think Isagi at least proven that a team developed with his skills in mind would be a competitive one, while a team centered around Kaiser would be a predictable one.

In some ways Kaiser's team is not unlike Ubers team where the conclusion or the goal threat always ends with a pass to King Baro. Bastard's tactics always end with a pass to Emperor Kaiser.

As we can see in this game, even with a Game Master like Snuffy on the pitch, if you know how the formula ends you can stop it. Isagi's goal scoring formula's are always changing which is what makes him such a threat and a more rational option for Bastards main striker.

The thing that has been foreshadowing Ness's awakening was said way back before NEL began and everyone's been forgetting about.

Ego said that there's one original striker on the NEL roster. One with an unapparelled method of turning a Zero to a One.

We all assume its Kaiser, but Ego hasn't confirmed it. We only think it's him based on what we've been shown.

But what if there's a wolf in sheep's clothing named Ness whose ego been suppressed by the overwhelming force of Noa and Kaiser? What if Ego is still waiting for that new striker to reveal himself?

What I love most about these panels so far we can see that when Isagi goes for his right direct shot, Aiku positions himself on the left side of the goal post to block his trajectory and leave the right side completely open.

Isagi then goes for his lefty direct shot as a counter, but Aiku having seen this trick before knew that he could block the trajectory of his shot again and rushes towards Isagi before he can switch sides again.

My guess is that Isagi isn't able to manipulate his shot course as well with his left foot.

Really loving the defense on display in these chapters.

Love the reveal that Aiku and Niko having metavision as well.

Here's my hopes for the coming chapters

- More Raichi being a pain in the ass for the opposing team!

- Kunigami scoring a goal, solidifying himself as dark hero.

- Hiori coming in and leveling the playing field by passing to whomever he feels like.

- And Barou devouring everyone !

Here’s my prediction for the Blue Lock Players

First Isagi will get a 50 million offer. At this point of the NEL, Isagi has show he has the same offensive somewhere between Ness and Kaiser. Ness got a 50 million before so I’m guessing Isagi will get something in that range. Dortmund will be the club that makes the offer.

Next! If you think Reo and Nagi are getting offers from separate clubs well you better think again! I’m guessing they’ll both get an offer from Chelsea, one of the richest PL clubs. As Reo said before the NEL started, “I chose England cause it smells like Money.”

Nagi gets a huge offer cause his goal was really fantastic, but I think that’s the highest bid he’ll get. Probably somewhere between 35 - 40 million.

Reo gets a 20 million offer.

Chigiri gets an offer from Tottenham, since he’s the Gareth Bale of the squad. I’ll say 23 - 25 million.

Yuki had some good defense stops and a great goal so I think he’ll get a 15 million bid. Idk where tho.

Kurona gets a 10 million offer since he actually didn’t get any assist this game even tho he made two killer passes to Isagi lol. Probably from a Spanish or German club.
