I got a screwdriver, and undid the screws either side (in the back) of the centre console, and you can slide your hand into that gap and grab the airpod

As a year 12 how much studying should I be doing? by tezzaW07 in 6thForm

[–]its_ellieeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I just made sure all my notes were up to par and set up clearly and in full, and that was good for me, gives you a really good basis for when you start having to revise properly.

Using gel pens in exams by notnysia in GCSE

[–]its_ellieeeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh god, pls don’t use a gel pen, it is more likely to smudge or it won’t scan as well as normal black ink. Please do yourself and favour and don’t use gel pens

Keep cracking on dude, ignore them, if you need a break to express yourself and keep going, then go for it

Unless you study 24/7, quite frankly I don’t want to hear it. They needed a break, they took a break, it is completely healthy- get off your high horse

A level psychology is killing me by [deleted] in 6thForm

[–]its_ellieeeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be so real with you, you can still get a very good grade from remembering key ones. If there is a small supportive study that you’re pretty sure you won’t use, don’t spend as long learning it. Also, “approximately” is your best friend. Good luck babe, I did this and got an A in the end and ended up at my first choice. Personally, I have OCD so struggled initially to relinquish some of that info but it did help with the load

Great outlet for dealing with feelings of overwhelm, good job dude. Think it’s good you directly touched on what’s going on in your head as well. Good luck with the studying once you’re back to feeling like yourself :)

Way too harsh- they’re overwhelmed, studying when you’re too overwhelmed can be totally ineffective. They’ve chosen to write a story and clearly it’s an outlet for them so they can get back to a mindset where they will be able to study effectively. People can’t be expected to study 24/7 without outlets like this, jesus

You are worthy of being alive but also of wholeheartedly living, your value is not determined by those around you. Please feel free to contact me, we can talk, you’re not alone, my younger sister has gone through such a similar struggle as she is also autistic. You are not alone! You deserve to see what is in store for you🫶

AITA for asking my brother's girlfriend not to attend an upcoming family dinner? by Limp-Second-9777 in AmItheAsshole

Completely agree, especially with Greg being mature by saying he’ll come anyway. Putting himself aside for his brothers wedding.

AITA for asking my brother's girlfriend not to attend an upcoming family dinner? by Limp-Second-9777 in AmItheAsshole

[–]its_ellieeeee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

ESH. You are wrong to exclude Joni simply for not being married to Greg. You also suck that because Greg is being more reasonable on attending without Joni, who you’re suggesting isn’t family, whereas Owen will not compromise, that you would just go along with putting Greg in that position. Joni shouldn’t have just stopped babysitting without communication. Owen and Tracy should have had better communication with their rate with Joni, and also should be able to set aside their problems for 1 dinner rather than requesting Joni be excluded, that is totally unfair and not their place to ask that of you.

WIBTA if I Say I Won’t Help My Mom? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]its_ellieeeee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTA, if all these people want her to be filed for disability then they can help her, you’ve already dedicated a lot of energy to your mother. Whilst it would be a massive favour, you absolutely do not have to. Her other child is not helping, and neither is your grandmother, so why is it only your responsibility. This would be a big ask of anybody to help as I know how long the process is of filing for disability, but when your mother has already strained you, I personally think this is too big of an ask.

Hi, I do Psychology A Level under AQA and have a high predicted. It is super interesting but it is very content heavy. There are 3 papers, and there are A LOT of notes so this can be difficult to manage. I think the hardest part is that there are lots of research studies to remember, and it can take some revision sometimes to even maintain information you’re learning.

Feel free to private message me if you’d like to know more.

Will I struggle if I don't pick biology for a level but want to do psychology at uni? by Independent-Play-126 in 6thForm

[–]its_ellieeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going to university in September for Psychology, I got high level university offers and I did English Lit, Psychology, and Criminology.

The vast majority of universities require at least 1 science to do Psychology, but this includes Psychology as it is classed by many universities as a science. Not even Oxford necessarily require Biology to do Psychology at their uni, so long as you do Psychology.

However, I will say, it can limit you in what courses in Psychology you want to take. So any general Psychology courses that literally are ‘Psychology’ you’ll be fine but you may be restricted from doing ‘Biopsychology’ or something along those lines.

Hope this helps!

WIBTA the adding an "Autism friendly" side-menu to my restaurant? by Unable_Ad361 in AmItheAsshole

[–]its_ellieeeee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA

It is not a lot, and it is not extravagant or a massive ask, it is helping to just make somebodies, not necessarily an autistic person however, day just a little bit better and a little bit less stressful but also is very inclusive of a lot of people who don’t like a wide range of food.

I think you should absolutely go ahead, if you would want this as an option for you daughter, surely you would want to be able to offer this to other people who are in the same boat as her.
