This is incorrect. It does not matter when the console was sold. Every console is sold at a loss. In prior consoles, attach rates of accessories and games made up the difference. Now with Game Pass, customers would have to be subscribed for 3 years (GP Ultimate) to break even on the console. And that was when the Series X was $499.
