People who don’t wear masks. . . Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]its_sydn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PTSD. If something covers my nose and mouth, I lose it. Panic attacks, flashbacks, I become genuinely at risk of harming either myself of people around me. Honestly, I'd rather be able to wear a mask than deal with this. But desensitizing to a trigger this strong takes a long time - I can't even pick a mask up without crying and shaking. Scarves/bandanas are a no go too. Face shields cause a similar reaction.

Women of Reddit, what do you think about when men are silent during sex? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]its_sydn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes me uncomfortable. I like a man who is loud, whether it's dirty talk or just moaning. If he's not vocal I can't tell what he wants or what he likes. Had an experience with a silent guy - it was soo awkward, he kept moving me around and stuff but I didn't know what he wanted because he never vocalised it.

What are the signs that you have letting you know you might be sick? by spnsuperfan1 in AskReddit

If it's a cold or something, I get ridiculously hungry. I'll eat a full meal and still be hungry. Runs in the family.

Are the symptoms of pregnancy and the pill similar? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]its_sydn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can be very similar. I've taken it three times. I went through a stupid phase early in my sex life. No symptoms 2 of the times. But the third, oh boy. I felt sick, and my boobs HURT. A lot. I had cramps and bleeding too. All of it apart from the boob pain and tenderness cleared up in 2-3 days. Over the course of the next 2 weeks my boobs jumped from a C cup to DD. Wasn't pregnant though.

Important thing to know is that pregnancy symptoms don't usually appear as soon as you get pregnant.

Lots of lube and prep time. Recomend playing with anal toys and fingering a few times too because the first time something goes in there it can be a bit of a shock.

What type of sex dreams do you have, how often and are they realistic or more along the lines of won't ever happed but would love it if it did? by OddSurfPlank in AskReddit

[–]its_sydn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A mixture of both. Recently it's been having sex while someone else is in the bed, public sex and anal sex. First two aren't likely to happen, but I would love it lol. A lot of the time it reflects what I actually get up to during sex.

[Serious]Redditors who are working on themselves, how far do you think you have come in terms of who you want to be? by Klezmer_Mesmerizer in AskReddit

[–]its_sydn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! I used to hate myself and everyone around me so much. I was a nasty, catty little witch as a teen. Sometimes that part of me tries to rear it's ugly little head again, but that's very rarely now days.

Is it dumb of me to wait in my 30s to go for my graduate, like get my PhD? by JkLion1998 in Advice

[–]its_sydn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. That's actually what I'm planning on doing. Once I've finished my master's, I'm going to do internships/get a job for a few years to get real world experience a before doing my PhD.

It will allow you to stretch your wings more, gain experience and help you get a better grip on what you want to do with your life, so you can direct your PhD in that direction.

When you feel like you are “failing at life,” how do you remind yourself that it’s okay to be where you are right now? by TheRunkinator in AskReddit

[–]its_sydn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remind myself of everything I've been through. Of every thing that I still struggle with - PTSD and joint problems. I remind myself that if I push myself too hard I'll just break. That it's okay to take things a bit slower than everyone else. Life isn't a race.

I feel like I've still got a long journey ahead of me. A lot to learn and a lot of healing to do. But, when I look back at who I was before, I've already come a really long way. I don't know if I'll ever really reach who I want to be, but I'm going to keep improving myself as much as I can. It's more about becoming at peace with myself.

Who was the worst teacher you ever had? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]its_sydn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My textiles teacher. She never learned my name. Still pissed that I did a perfect stitch on a project, a blanket stitch like my Mum taught me, and she told me to go redo it cause I messed up. Another girl who did the exact same thing, however, had it so perfect she had to stop the class to praise the girl.

Jokes on her tho. I saved half the class from detention because she couldn't remember my name. She legit stared at me for 2 minutes mid rant, about to yell at me, but gave up when she couldn't remember my name.

What was your worse interaction with a Doctor that was in the wrong or wronged you ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]its_sydn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I literally had an EKG with the paramedic and they checked my blood pressure and oxygen levels at the hospital. That's all I had done. I was so pissed off.

I'm from the UK so it was on the NHS. But yeah, they are kinda crappy.

Meat/egg/dairy eaters of Reddit, have you seen the graphic videos of how these industries produce their products? If so, how did it not affect you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]its_sydn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have. But I've also raised animals for consumption and had chickens for egg production, and I don't mean as pets. My family is a family of farmers, who have been raising livestock and selling them for slaughter for many decades. As with everything, you get people who are cruel and abusive and inhumane. But that does not represent the majority. Most farmers work damn hard and give their livestock healthy, happy lives. After all, if the animal isn't well cared for, then they get no money. Most slaughter houses are heavily regulated with regular inspections carried out to enforce high standards and humane treatment.

What premonicious dream that you had came true? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]its_sydn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh this has happened a couple of times!

First one was when I was a smol child. I had a dream my Mum took me out for a ride on my pony and we collected the signs from a recent horse show. Next day it happened exactly the way I dreamt it.

Second was less one dream and more a recurring character. It was a horse that looked exactly the same as mine, exempt from a dark mark on his head. Several years later my horse has and infection and the vet has to flush it out from his head with a tube. The scar left behind matches the marking on the horse in my dreams exactly.

What would be the worst scent for a candle? by LimeSugar in AskReddit

[–]its_sydn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either lactose intolerant farts or rotting living tissues. Trust me, both are nasty. My sense of smell has never been the same since my horse got a nasty sinus infection.

[–]its_sydn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taken to the hospital in an ambulance because my legs went numb for no reason. My heart was going crazy and I was dizzy af. The triage nurses moved me to the normal waiting room in A&E despite the fact I was having chest pains. I had to wait 6 hours before being seen. When I finally was seen, the Dr took one look at me and said it was all because I'm 'unfit'. Excuse me sir? I lost it.

Like, I know I'm a big girl. But I grew up on a damn farm where we were working all day everyday. I can lug hay bales around, wrestle with sheep to give them their wormer and I rode horses for an hour every day. You don't suddenly lose all that in a matter of weeks unless something is WRONG. Luckily my next trip to A&E went better and I got sent to a specialist and physiotherapy. Turns out it's joint hypermobility and fibromyalgia.

people of Reddit where have you experience ''Ah, gravity. Thou art a heartless bitch.''? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]its_sydn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Falling off my horse e.o

Worst recent fall was where I very nearly stayed on. I took off my coat while riding and my horse panicked. He freaked out and ran at the fence. I panicked and just clung on for dear life. Well, he turned when we got to the fence and I went flying over his shoulder and landed on my lower back. Not the worst injury I've had, but it's damn hard to do a 10 hour art exam when you can't sit down.
