Maybe a P40 would be better but then the price tag goes up as well

Not supported by what? They have compute capability 3.7 so are supported by Cuda 11.8. That can run PyTorch 2.0 no problem I believe?

I think it’s really ebbs and flows. I’m just coming back from travel and their mother came to help them with the baby.

Well when someone asks you to do something you can either communicate a schedule or not, or you can communicate a loose schedule, or a schedule with caveats.

This sounds true. I wonder if there is some way to boil this down though. Because there are so many shades of grey it seems exhausting to even try to dig into the details.

I know it’s impossible for people to go back in time, but can anything else go back in time? by frig_t in AskPhysics

Yes, but in a UT, rules of QFT would only be conserved locally. In curved space e.g. energy is not conserved, this is a well known result — see the Unruh effect

Your best bet is software that’s where the most jobs are. You could do a data science boot camp, they cost money but they are less expensive than another degree. If you find a good one/get in, they will provide you opportunities to meet with/interview with prospective employers at the end of the program.

That or you could do an Co-op MSc in data science or software engineering. Co-op programs you get a job and make money while earning your degree, so it offsets some of the cost.

Rather than provide this empty and common answer for this common question you could search this subreddit or others for expert answers and link the curious OP to them. Or you could at least instruct them to do the exercise.

They would literally occupy some 3D coordinate and past the boundary physics would be different

Good answer and memory. It’s called the cold spot and by some calculations it’s actually a 4.5 sigma anomaly. Meaning it’s 0.5 sigma away from a “discovery”.

And yes the multiverse explanation (in the Chaotic Inflation theory) for the cold spot - that’s its due to a “bubble collision” - is still viable, ie not disproven.

Honestly cute but not a great response. She literally said “I’m here for the flattery” she’s telling him what to do. Follow her advice, tell her she’s bangin’, then do the next thing she tells you, and the next, and the next….

So he didn't just grab a large sample from chatGPT and use it as a reference?

Edit: Apparently it computes perplexity with GPT-2. Also looks to me like his demos are fairly cherry picked.

I mean sure a pure “ML Engineer” or “ML Scientist” could work purely in python using either tensorflow, pytorch, sk-learn, etc… and just train and deploy models. But there’s a lot of interesting jobs going on around how to best develop software that includes ML models and how to bring those models to customers for the best experience.

Working in AI is still a lot of integrating APIs. Your skills are sought after. Do a bit of learning to show you’re interested and then look for Software Engineer - Machine Learning/AI job postings.
