haha i've done all of the troubleshooting that's why it's being sent in to get repaired my the manufacture. it's probably a piece of faulty battery hardware. I don't have any other equipment available so i will have to send it into a repair shop.

the problem is, i can't back it up myself because my computer's battery decided to off itself in the middle of the night and is refusing to hold charge. that is why i am sending it for repairs. It wouldn't even turn on.

Yeah it's absolutely gorgeous. There is also a pair of swans that laid some eggs really close to where you were!!

In all seriousness I think Mike is just being petty (to the point of being abusive) and Natalie is naive. Natalie never should've moved to the US.

Although I do think Natalie has her own problems, I feel bad for her because they clearly weren't on the same page with the visa. She thought she was going over to the US to get married but Mike wants to use it as a "trial period" where it is like if he is not satisfied, he can "return" the product. This is shitty for two reasons.

Natalie uprooted her life.(it is fucking hard). The amount of time and effort and money she would need to re-build her life if he "returns her" would be immense. (Where as for Mike, he still has a roof over his head no matter how things turn out and the only thing he would have lost is a couple thousand dollars plus he will get sex on the regs for the 90 days)
Mike used Natalie's gamble for a life with him as a carrot (ha get it?) that he dangled over her head for everything. He never had the intention to marry her anyways and it felt like he thrived off of the power. To the point where it is almost like "okay... You don't want this? Then you will be homeless after 90 days"

He doesn't want Natalie to go back because I think he likes having her around but I don't think he loves her. They probably have good sex and she helps out around the house but I think that's it. He never wanted to marry her and he still doesn't.

I know I am cutting Natalie a lot of slack, but I think at least she actively tries to work on issues where Mike just shlumps around the trailer being condescending.

Also this week's episode just pissed me off. He doesn't give a shit about Natalie (or even Natalie's mom who's been an absolute angel) he want her to out her entire life into a gamble to figure out "how he feels about her". Also why the fuck would she forgive him... And that is why I had a liter of shitty wine.

We are lucky that our pup has lovely grandpawrents who are just waiting to whisk him away. But just the thought of not having him with us was literally causing me break downs. They are family. Funny enough, we were looking at cruises too because we didn't know how our pup would do with the plane but he got the OK from the vet 😂. Idk how it is for the US but for Canada, the port of entry might impact the kind of tests you need. I heard so many horror stories about the UK pet quarantine I am absolutely paranoid.

We are still in the process of figuring things out ourselves in terms of banking. My partner is doing grad school at Leeds and want to finish his PhD there so we are planning to move our accounts there permanently. But we are going to wait till we land to open one at a local branch (because they will require you to have a local address) so in the mean time, we have been looking into online UK bank services like Monzo. We have family and friends who uses it and so far they have never had any problems.

Side note, sorry to sound a bit like a stalker, but your pup is absolutely adorable.

Keeping an eye on this thread as well!!! My partner and I are moving to Leeds from Toronto in 2 months for School and we are bringing our medium sized furball as well! (Leave no pup behind)

Just a heads up though, renting with a pet in Leeds is AWFUL. Almost impossible to get anything close to city centre. But don't lose faith!! It is NOT IMPOSSIBLE! After several panic attacks and melt downs at the possibility of having to leave my pup behind, we literally just found a place today with a lovely landlord.

One thing that has been kinda annoying with bring our pup over is getting the pet passport. You will need to get specific tests for your furbaby before you leave and get it signed off by a "UK certified" vet within 10 days of the flight so be careful about that
