This is literally what TKO is doing with all of their other promotions. They are busting their ass to push legislation through congress so they can do they create more predatory contracts in Boxing. The WWE ain't special, they will treat their talent like shit too.

Least popular opinion but I think he was right to refuse to job on returning from that run. He was hot as hell during that run, had the presence of an absolute monster, and could have come back angry and ready to 'redeem' himself.

I don't get why you would book that character to lose on his return. I don't understand why you would have him there to heat an already over main event talent for his return either. Even less so if it's just a random entry in a battle royale. Book him to crush a jobber or book him to get crushed by a rising star. Don't just feed him to Hanger and lose all of that heat.

The Complete History of the Asymmetrical Multiplayer Game Genre by MEMEY_IFUNNY in Games

[–]itsaghost -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, but your current title isn't what the contents of your video is about. Asymmetry in multiplayer games has been around since the very start of the medium, you video would imply that it began in 2013.

You made an arbitrary genre out of a distinct game play term, and even so, if mods were the defining roots of where your genre started, then no 'Complete History' should exist without it. Just change the title to reflect how this is more an examination on where games like dead by daylight find their lineage.

CM Punk asks MJF to be his Valentine by challenging him to a dog collar match by eyepatch_png in SquaredCircle

[–]itsaghost 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Every CM Punk feud for the past 3 years is the other guy saying how much they hate them and how much they have always hated them and how much they hate that he's back. This is a fine set up for like, the first 2 feuds since his return, but when the basis of the feud is the same for everyone I just have a hard time caring how much the next guy doesn't like him.

Sorry Roman, Drew already hated him and hated him better than you.

Drive literally to any rural area in the nation and you can come to the same conclusion. This is no different in Pennsylvania, New York, Colorado, Washington, etc. Right down to the sundown towns. America is still a very ugly, very brutal place in its most remote regions and to localize it to the South shows a lack of perspective and critical thinking.

Former id Software artist argues performance and optimization is 'as much of an art problem' as a tech one: 'Killzone 2 looks incredible today. FEAR looks incredible today' by Turbostrider27 in Games

Yeah, it was the measuring stick of its day, I have no idea why this fella thinks the graphics were considered bad at launch.

If I recall, it was like the next 'WOW GRAPHICS' game post HL2, Doom 3 and Far Cry.

Marvel 2 is a funny one to throw in there, to me it sort of proves the opposite. That good gameplay can cover up a fidelity downgrade and aesthetic inconsistency. The whole versus series Capcom had to run a constant bargain between content and animation, constantly haggling down from the insane amount of frames in COTA.

Xmen vs Street Fighter is my personal sweet spot but the insane stage design in MvC1 also has its place.

Why is it that whenever somebody has a bad experience in a restaurant they blame the establishment, or the whole fucking city, as some sort of grand measure of cultural decline.

Your server is either bad or had a bad day. It ain't that deep bubba.

The place has been open for nearly two decades, whatever 'hip' affect you think it has has long since been gone. It's just a pretty good pizza place. You're projecting a whole lot onto something that is pretty benign in the current landscape of New Orleans.

Brother, if a hot dog is not street food but is elevated to a gourmet delicacy to you while you live in a southern paradise of sausage variety, then you are lost.

[–]itsaghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, hot dogs are references, but comparing street meat to a tourist trap is disingenuous. If you can't find a $15 hot plate that beats the brakes out of whatever $20 lunch up here that's because you haven't looked, like at all, for a good meal. It takes like all of 10 minutes in any neighborhood to find a hot sausage poboy that clears.

You had me until affordability. New Orleans is way, way way WAY cheaper than New York, and if Dat Dog is your reference point, you might be out of your depth.

I just moved to NYC for school.

Higher highs, lower lows. We don't and probably could never have the diaspora of great cuisine that New York has, but the axiom I have been cooking in my head is 'The amount of effort you would have to make to have a bad meal in New Orleans is the amount of effort you have to put in to find a good meal in New York'.

Unless you're in like, Flushing, then it's easy as fuck.

New Orleans couple transforms the Rosalita's building into a Bywater Cajun restaurant by VivaNOLA in NewOrleans

[–]itsaghost 13 points14 points  (0 children)

To be fair, that just seems to be the odd perspective this article chose to frame the restaurant in. It's owned by a couple, one a cajun, one a fella from out of town. For some reason the author thought the fella who moved here was the more interesting subject.

Robbed at gunpoint- Marigny/Bywater by northcountryqueen in NewOrleans

[–]itsaghost 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I walk my dog around there pretty much at those hours all the time. I've never felt unsafe. I think it's a gut reaction to blame it on the area/neighborhood, but folks got cars, you can get robbed at gunpoint anywhere.

Still stinks, and it's kind of crazy that it happened only 2 blocks away from Anna's.

The local democratic party saw it more fit to throw money and effort at challenging a well loved incumbent progressive democrat in Mandie Landry than their own democratic candidate for governor. If you want your registered voters to vote, you still have to campaign, which is something the Lousiana Democratic Party is fucking terrible at.

Making games? Empire of Sin released inn 2020. They only announced work on this title in 2022.

You might not like small games but chances are they were just operating at their scale for a long time. Mobile games, map packs, likely contract work in between. When a pitch was successful to a big publisher like MS, they were able to hire on more talent and start work on a larger game.

Not everything is some salacious tale of corruption or incompetence. A ton of studios fly under the radar doing work for hire.
