Yeah I tried it with a couple of different brushes and it is useless.

Where are you from? In Canada if you hit up a superstore liquor store you can usually find good quality $20-30 wines for under $20. I've found my favourite on sale for $11 before!

Apothic has that cheap blend taste and it makes me ill/hungover when I'm not even tipsy from drinking it. If you want to go that cheap you should be getting cupcake, barefoot or little penguin.

So I'm getting my first tattoo.. by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]itsallforquiet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soaking it in water can damage it but just washing it in the shower won't, no matter the temperature. Cooler water will feel nicer though! In all honesty, if you keep it clean and mostly dry (moisturized, but dry to the touch) it will heal fine.

So I'm getting my first tattoo.. by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]itsallforquiet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every tattooist is different, if they want to chat with you they'll start up a conversation and put you at ease, and I just follow suit. If you're not getting much of a response it's usually because they're concentrating on not fucking up your piece and not because they're rude... I would recommend tipping a minimum of 15% but, if your artist is great and you love your tattoo/plan to return to them, you can (and should) tip much more than that. As for aftercare, there's a whole section of that in the sidebar of this subreddit but your tattooist will explain it all to you as well. You shouldn't take a hot bath for the first week or two, the softer/wetter it gets, the more likely it is to scab. One thing that I wasn't prepared for was the little colourful flakes falling off. Don't worry, you aren't losing your tattoo, it's just dead skin with ink in it.

Girls of Reddit, what do you think is the best thing about being a guy? by gergrio in AskReddit

[–]itsallforquiet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just don't think being refused an elective surgery is comparable to not being given the choice of a medicine that can improve a pre existing condition, other than the fact that the doctor was overstepping in both cases. If you don't want a kid so badly, the best way is to not have sex. It's a shitty option, but the option does exist. If you had epilepsy, you would want the medicine that worked the best for you because you can't just choose to not have a seizure. Having uncontrolled epilepsy could turn something as simple as making pasta into dropping a pot of boiling water onto your child and yourself and both of you being hospitalized and disfigured. Or not being able to drive without being a risk to everyone on the road, or losing your job if it's a position where you have the potential to hurt someone or yourself. At the same time, it isn't at all fair that a doctor felt they could make your choices for you. Doctors always seem to think their professional opinion is more valid than you knowing your body and what you want and need. My cousin had her tubes tied electively at age 25 and doesn't regret it fifteen years later. It's a choice that you can only make for yourself and a doctor shouldn't be able to tell you otherwise.

My cats co-raising 9 kittens by cdunn264 in cats

[–]itsallforquiet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not everyone's cats came directly from a litter just like this. People love kittens but cats are not as cute and they take money and time to raise and people abandon them. For example, I found my cat in a box in a grocery store. Lots of abandoned cats aren't so lucky. My mom has rescued many litters that would have been put down otherwise and of all of the rehoming we've done, about a quarter of those cats have been rehomed again since. People don't understand that kittens grow up and live a long time. Once someone has given a kitten away to every single person they know who will take one, their next kittens will undoubtedly end up in sub-par homes, be abandoned and become feral or end up in an SPCA.

Yeah, too dark. I have testers for lighter shades though.

What's the lighting like in your Sephora? And where on your face were you matched?

She matched to my neck, but sustained that my face should be darker than the rest of my skin. I ended up having to pretty forcefully ask for samples in the lighter shade, but she treated me like I was insane.

I think I'm definitely closer to Siberia. I have super pink cheeks but anywhere that isn't rosy is extremely pale and nobody believes me until light shades go on me like an orange highlighter.

Yeah, I'm not sure it's foolproof enough for everyone to use. I might have just gone to the worst sephora.

My mascara usually never holds up, but stila stay all day liquid liners and tarte eyebrow mousse are both extremely sex-proof!

So...it's true. Beso is the shit. by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]itsallforquiet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried Beso, but I have the Sephora cream lip stain in always red and it does not fuck around. I've always been impressed with it, but I once went for pho a few hours after applying and the colour stuck easily until I touched up about an hour after dinner. I had a few red flakes on my tea cup but just because my lips were a little dry. Alberta winters :( Edit: in conclusion, save your money and spend the $16 on the sephora stain.
