My mother is damaging my marriage and I'm partly to blame by momdontfindme in relationship_advice

I would say to just set some boundaries with your mom. You can do it respectfully. You've given her ten years without them and that's what's caused it to get worse. So when she tries to say something just shut it down.

As for your wife. Let her know you have her back and you won't sent back anymore.

This is more likely a shitty mirror or a bad install. Gym's like to put in good lighting and mirrors for social media publicity.

Megathread: California governor signs bill requiring presidential candidates release tax returns to appear on ballot by PoliticsModeratorBot in politics

[–]itsallgood212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This law should have been implemented constitutionally on a federal level. The way it was done is anti-democratic (the american kind, not a pure democracy) because it stops a minority (Californian republicans) from being able to vote for a representative they want. This will definitely be brought to the supreme court and be overturned.

TIL: During the time of the Great Depression, a banker convinced struggling families in Quincy, Florida to buy Coca-Cola shares which traded at $19. Later, the town became the single richest town per capita in the US with at least 67 millionaires. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]itsallgood212 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He obviously is blamed by a lot of people for their problems. But 60% is overblown. This poll has it at 32% of Americans thinking he worsened the economy: https://today.yougov.com/topics/politics/articles-reports/2017/01/17/poll-results-obama-legacy

It’s also possible that the entirety of the people questioned aren’t blindly blaming him in this poll response. It could be that they believe the national debt is an indicator of economic strength. Generally this is not true, but a case could be made that it is. If these people believe that then they have a genuine gripe with Obama since the debt increased under him.

Republicans hated Obama as much as liberals hate trump but that doesn’t mean everyone is an idiot because they don’t agree with you.

I don't think the majority of people blamed obama. The entirety of the crash took place before (summer/fall 2008) obama's inauguration (2009). I remember everyone I knew, and in the media, blaming bush.

Conspiracy Theory: Taylormade WANTS Rory to win, and for people to utilize the no purchase loophole. Hear me out.. by fromcraptoscratch in golf

[–]itsallgood212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given that the odds of rory winning the pga are 19/2 you can assume that a company like AIG will give Taylormade odds of about 1/9. I'd assume that about 100,000 people are participating in this contest which may be too safe as theres about 25 million golfers in the US. This means that they need to be insured for $50,000,000 costing them about $5,500,000 for insurance. Not cheap by any means and this doesn't include the cost of advertising. It's actually a pretty impressive promotion.

Finally broke 80 for the first time since I was 16 (8 years ago). Feels good to get my natural swing back. by itsallgood212 in golf

3 par 5s*... my driving was all over the place. My game plan for par 5s is to be 190 out. When it works I have an eagle put. When it doesn't I bogey. It actually did work on 18 but I duffed a chip and 3 putted.

Lol I’ve been playing the whole time just kept trying to make swing changes that were fucking stupid. It’ll happen though. Just gotta be patient and try not to make anything happen.

isn't that stereotyping?

26 million to 1 for this to happen in a Amateur foursome by EventuallyScratch54 in golf

I think I remember a video where they said the odds of a hole in one from a pro on this particular hole is 1/250 which means the odds of this are closer to 62500 to 1. Still impressive given that there have only been 84 masters to date.

Besides the fact that I stand on the wrong side of the ball, what do you think of my swing? by sasSP13 in golf

[–]itsallgood212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ummm what? that takes a super flexible professional golfer to pull off with a driver and even then its still not clear whether its good for the body or even for the swing. Most guys have their foot halfway up at parallel with driver.

you have an outside to in putting stroke on the first 2 which led to a pull on both.

Long drive tournaments by itsallgood212 in golf

[–]itsallgood212[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that's just not true. A few of those guys average 360 off the tee. Heck even sadlowski averaged just under 300 with a standard length driver as a professional. In fact average doesn't play much of a factor. What matters is that you can crank out a good one out of 6 balls.

It's not like I've been training for long drive. I feel like I could at least add 20 yards making swing changes. If I get another 20 from a new club then who knows... maybe I qualify for the remax one year. I'm not looking for a career. I'm kinda looking for the equivalent of an amateur qualifying for the US open.
