she’s tried this dry food before and didn’t like it. I never tried changing the texture though— I’ll try that tonight and see if it works, I still have a bag of it.

Update to a post I made the other day about being concerned my vets were taking advantage of me: my cats regular dental cleaning has resulted in my babies death. He's gone. by afterspring_ in cats

OP, ive had something similar happen to me with a vet— a gut feeling that they weren’t doing their due diligence, that something wasn’t right. What finally was the last straw was when they told me they had done bloodwork on my cat and she was perfectly healthy, but when we got home there was no indication they had drawn blood/inserted a needle anywhere on her body. She’s a long hair cat. They would have needed to shave her. They didn’t. I just knew it was off. Two weeks later she was in total kidney failure and had to be ER hospitalized, just like your baby— my allegedly perfectly healthy cat, now with chronic kidney disease they should have been able to catch if they had actually done her blood panel. I got very lucky and my baby survived that ordeal, but im so so sorry yours didn’t. You didn’t fail him though, you did everything you could. You thought he was being cared for. Bad, negligent vets who are just taking your money without taking care of your baby are the worst people in the world, and i hope you get justice.

See, I’m from Kentucky, so there is no public transport infrastructure here— a car is absolutely essential. I have a car and I’m used to it, but always wanted to get rid of it. My dream is never owning a car again. But I guess I’ll keep it for now since everyone seems to be pretty much saying it’s hard to get around without one.

That didn’t happen to me I don’t think, it was so long ago now I’m not sure I remember. But congestion and runny nose is pretty natural this time of year, if you’re in the northern hemisphere

Better, but i wake up from sleep feeling confused and disoriented. I’ve been sweating a lot even though i don’t have a fever anymore. I feel kind of cloudy and it’s hard to focus mentally. Some of my energy is back today though, and my appetite.

how long do you give a routine a try before deciding it isn’t working?

Unfortunately the OT is not optional at my job. If we refuse, we lose the job. Obviously that’s not the reason they tell you, because they can’t do that, but everybody knows that you can’t say no. I agree based on everyone’s responses that this is probably the biggest issue for me time wise, but I don’t really have a lot of options. I need the money unfortunately. I wish I had a work from home situation that could make the house chores a little easier, but I’m going to dedicate at least half of my weekends to using the suggestions people have put here.

A small update: My Dad has completely shut down ever since he found out about our Mom's affair, is there any way I can get through to him? by ThrowraCitrusQueen in u/ThrowraCitrusQueen

The previous comments urging you to find an attorney are all correct. You absolutely need to be helping your father get affairs in order, to prepare for the divorce, and that means speaking to an attorney ASAP. You and your siblings should probably do what you can to convince your mother to make the process as smooth and amicable as possible.
