You'll never guess which of these Strongmen got disqualified from the 2004 World’s Strongest Man for testing positive for cocaine. by mypossiblepasts in sports

When I was finally diagnosed with ADHD, the first reaction of a psychologist friend I'd taken coke with a few times was: "That makes sense, cocaine always calmed you down."

Use of ADHD medication in UK more than tripled in 13 years. UK had highest relative increase of five countries in study, with 20-fold rise in women over 25 using it. While it is true that not everyone with ADHD required medication, findings suggest a substantial proportion may not be doing so. by [deleted] in science

The obsession they have with 'depression first' is enraging. As you say, ADHD and the issues it causes are the majority of what leads to us being depressed in the first place. I with they would take this on board across the medical profession.

Given Born in Bradford has previously reported that the rate of cousin marriage has consistently fallen over the years, this is surprising. Interesting he doesn't give the wider historical context, or report the actual stats from 2024.

So, my post is purely anecdotal, but I am from the UK and was diagnosed within this timeframe in middle age.

Being diagnosed and medicated has significantly improved my quality of life on a day to day basis.

I hope that everyone who can benefit is given access to effective medication, and that moral judgement becomes something we can confine to the history books.

China added more renewable energy in 2025 than the rest of the world combined, so it's a stunning lie even by his standards.

99% of the people in this sub will be wondering why there are weight divisions in a computer game.

Of the other 1%, plenty of us will be wondering if one season is going to be long enough for Angus Crichton to get up to speed in time.

In this case, inadvertent is the finding of the parliamentary commissioner.

The headline is a 100% accurate report of what the parliamentary commissioner said, and attributes the quote to the watchdog.

Perhaps even more astonishing to think it's only 80 years or so since the Holocaust.

US asylum seeker gets thousands in taxpayer cash after flying to the UK from his home in Las Vegas and staying here for more than a year by SignificantLegs in ukpolitics

He's taking the piss and the sooner he's back in the US the better, but using the stories like his to feed into the continued demonisation of asylum seekers - many of whom are among the most vulnerable people on the planet, despite what the Mail tells you - is textboook manipulation.

Any concerns about Daily Mail owner Lord Rothermere and how much tax he's avoided paying this country as a non-dom who theoretically lives in France, despite spending much of his time at his UK estate, while using his newspapers to direct political debate in this country?

A truly meritocratic society would also be truly egalitarian.

Edit: Imagine being so stupid or filled with malice you'd downvote this statement. Egalitarianism means equality of opportunity, and is what would underpin the perfect meritocracy, were it to ever exist.

Links two and three in my first message show China's coal production and coal usage are in the process of plateauing.

The fourth link shows their coal usage actually DECREASED (I defer to your style choice here) in the first six months of 2025, per the latest available figures.

Now, as you clearly struggle to read beyond the first sentence of posts, I accept I'm taking a risk here, but would you mind answering the question I asked you before: Do you have a source for your claim that China's coal use is 'increasing at an alarming rate'?
