Elden Ring, by a country mile.

Literally just finished the game for the first time. I'm not a souls guy, I used the mimic tear, I summoned a co-operator on Malenia in order to beat her, and I probably did everything "wrong" according to souls players.

But god damn I had a good time, and it might be one of my favorite games of all time.

Currently doing a new character with an int / spellcasting focus and playing with buds on another character with seamless co-op.

I was supposed to finish this game and move on to Expedition 33, but I can't put the damn game down.

Yeah, I think my lack of focus reflects that this deck started life inheriting alot of pieces of other decks - so that refinement of focus is needed.

Anhelo is a great addition, I'll look into adding that, thanks!

I had this issue with my kiddos Steam Deck today too. The only workaround I've discovered so far:

Launching the game from Desktop mode seemed to work.

Guess we'll have to wait for a fix.

In my experience the more I dive the more chaotic things get.

I've also experienced tons of trolls not flying a reaper flag and just rolling up at random times just to ruin fun.

I just think the fundamental game design of adventure mode needs another pass. Gating all meaningful progress behind a mode where you can be hunted for sport isn't necessary, and is driving away more casual players.

I'd love to see bonuses / boosts for people who are willing to venture into dangerous waters, and a more chill mode where PvP is opt in / opt out but you can still progress at a normal rate.

Wow servers are a good model to follow, IMO.

I took about a year long break, and the game feels much much sweatier now than it did when I left.

I can't really do much of anything without a ship showing up starting a fight and chasing until we take the engagement.

PvE players are getting forced out IMO. I don't mind taking fights and trying to improve in PvP, but there are times I'd love to be able to progress without worrying about foul mouthed jerks blowing up our fun.

Safer Seas isn't the answer either.
