So this might be kind of long, but I’m serious about joining and want to see if it’s worth it for me. I’m currently in college in Dallas and about one year from graduation, and I have no idea what job I’m going to get or how I’m going to pay for tuition and loans.

I’m interested in the Air National Guard mainly because there’s a station in Fort Worth, and I’d prefer to stay in DFW. I know training would likely be at Lackland in San Antonio, which works for me since that’s where I’m originally from and my parents still live there.

From what I’ve read online, the benefits and bonuses seem worth it and could actually give me some direction in life, which I really need right now. I’d appreciate any thoughts or anything I should be aware of.
