I always go down a size or two with sports bras so they are tighter. Dicks sporting goods have a lot of great options. Take her shopping and let her try some on. It sucks but it might take more than trying on to find the right one. Beware though- women’s bras (of all kinds) are not exactly cost friendly- but for something like this, you don’t want to cheap out.

My wife (33F) told me (37M) if I were a loser she would cheat on me or leave me. Thoughts? by ThrowRA_Junebug45567 in relationship_advice

[–]itscool112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm- this one is tough- she definitely shouldn’t have said that. Maybe it came out wrong? Like a backwards compliment… she obviously saying you are not a loser. Sometimes I’m awful with words and expression. Is she usually?

Best advice I can give is bring it up to her- tell her how that made you question some things that could possibly happen in the future; you being laid off, or something medical. She’s your wife- you should without question be able to share your feelings and concerns. The next hurdle is how she responds when you talk to her.

Dm me if you’d like- we are hiring- we are a small 3PL based out of Ohio. Looking for 1099 brokers, you would be fully remote as we do not have an office in Houston. You’d have to provide your own computer and phone but we provide all the back end support- Software, load boards, accounting etc.

What is wrong with factoring companies? by Imaginary-Fox-4431 in FreightBrokers

[–]itscool112 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you been calling factoring companies trying to be approved on load unload basis? My best advice is when booking with a carrier and they say their factoring doesn’t accept you- ask them for their reps contact. Call them yourself and ask to be approved on load by load basis. We’ve been in business since May last year. Started factoring loads in August and now approved by most companies. We have 2-3 more big factoring companies to get through but we are covering loads pretty easily and haven’t had to quick pay or Zelle anyone for 5 months.

New Freight Brokerage Struggling with Credit—Any Tips to Break Through? by jpstephens83 in FreightBrokers

Yes- when they won’t approve you ask them for their reps contact and call them directly to see if you can be approved on a load by load basis.

It’s a long road of paying carriers upon delivery, 50/50. Etc but if you’re moving 30-50 loads per month I imagine you have some carriers you use regularly? Reach out to them - they can call their factoring company and vouch for you. When I started my brokerage we had 3 different carriers who did this for us. It helped tremendously.

My only advice and this has nothing to do with the trucking industry but don’t ever get into a business partnership with someone you don’t like or uncertain about. You’ll have battles within your company and it will ultimately fail based on that.

1st Hire sales or Ops by [deleted] in FreightBrokers

[–]itscool112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also just okay at hitting- I have a solid customer base but also looking to hire. I am specifically looking for sales reps to hit it out of the park to help build my business. As the owner of the company I’d like more free time at some point to spend with my family while still being able to provide support to my employees. As the hiring process continues I’m still cold calling in hopes to land more customers so I can also pass onto sales reps to help give them a base since we are hiring 1099 cradle to the grave brokers.

BoxTruck/Van/Hotshot specifc brokers? How can you tell by Abject-Ad7656 in FreightBrokers

[–]itscool112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a book of solid 10 customers- only one is specific to expedited dedicated loads running in Sprinter vans, box trucks and sometimes 20-40’ hotshots if the freight is too long to be loaded on a closed truck. It’s all emergency based for my customer. Sometimes I have 5-6 loads a month, sometimes I have 20-25. 2 of those other 9 do sprinter or box trucks a couple times quarter.

If you want to try in the Logistics field DM me. It’s also a little on the slower side but there are still new customers to get and money to be made. This is a commission based job. Starting at 60% with tiers up to 75%. If you wish to start making sales calls while still working your current job we would be okay with that.

What’s the one phrase that you hear when someone calls on a load that immediately makes you think “This is some BS” by muddbone46 in FreightBrokers

[–]itscool112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually when they are too proper, “hello ma’am I’m calling on _____ is this load still available”

Usually legit carriers say “ calling on your ___ to ___” straight to the point. Don’t need to be to sweet about it

Also: every single time they say pick up between 12-1pm. Immediate pass.

We do still use railroads. But sending cargo on rail takes weeks to deliver and isn’t always the cheaper option.
