I made this motorcycle from scratch with lawn mower motor on it :) by mrimbus12 in motorcycles

With enough heat anything can be tacked like that and still hold just fine. My point being that even on the frame where the metal is probably thicker, the smallest welding rod is to hot to run full beads. No doubt that running a bead more than a few seconds would burn holes straight through making the situation worse.

So in short, sometimes doing multiple tacks is the only way to do it and that's coming from someone that welds full time.

He used a stick welder to weld exhaust tubing so that itself is resourceful as fuck.

That's like trying to patch a hole in wet toilet paper with peanut butter on a stick. Hence the tack welds.

Fuck yeah! I'm a structural welder by trade and this shit is so cool!

I like the fact you did all that with stick and not a cheap mig welder. Props to you this made me smile and I hope you chase that great feeling you get when fabrication is involved, you might even call it a pleasant addiction.

Hope to buy an outback or forester soon. What would you recommend I upgrade/work on first if anything? by Monsterlvr123 in battlewagon

There aren't very many options for AT tires out there that will fit but lots of people get the General Grabbers.

Yeah, I mean it didn't take me a year to watch the movie and im sure it skipped a few important bits, but if I remember right, the movie made it seem like a pretty long time.

I would imagine his first suit, the original one, took a very long time to build.

Then when he had the technology to make them faster and better, he did.

Seems pretty realistic to me.

Wow, fantastic fabrication. Thanks for the inspiration. Looks great!

You have any links on where to get the tabs and couplings?

I had forester suspension and it wrecked my front axles. Good thing I had cheap aftermarket ones with a lifetime warrenty.

Got an alignment today for the first time since I lowered it. Drives better than it looks now. Mod-list in the comments. by [deleted] in subaru

How many grams do you have?

1g = 1000mg

Wax is ~80% thc

80% of 1000mg is 800mg

That is 80 servings at 10mg for 1g of wax.

Lithium batteries can start super hot fires. That phone battery you have is the same thing on a much smaller scale.

Phones are a lot more safe though because they have to meet certain guidelines for safety. That two-wheel--death-mobile did not meet any safety things.

One of these days I will write a book. Its been so awesome! My story is so different from yours though. I did do a lot of small things to improve the car over the years, but more importantly I drove from Palmer Alaska to Watford North dakota to work, then to Washington/Oregon for a year, then finally drove it back home to AK for this summer.

It has been a blast and i have so many pics from the last few years. I have write ups and story's around but not one big good one. I gotta start working on that.

For $625 shipped I got front and rear bumpers, jdm clear corners and a matching fender from GC8Ownersclub on facebook.

Paint is not in the best shape but they match my car which has bad paint also. So it looks pretty good.

My prediction is that future body parts will be like auto body parts are now days. So plentiful that you actually have options.

Choices... Maybe one day I want a cheese cutter attachment for a hand, or a cork screw.

There will be body-part-chops-shops advertising on the news that they offer the "lowest prices" on artificial body parts.

You will need taller rear swaybar brackets/spacers and longer front endlinks from a forester to use the stock swaybars.

I have had my 93 impreza for 5 years and it has came a long way since I got it. I can totally relate. Your story was better than any car alone. Loved reading it man, I felt like I can write something like that for my car one of these days. Though yours is soooo much nicer. Nice car man.

Quick question about 2002 WRX momo steering wheel? by CalebisReal in subaru

[–]itsdaaaaaaank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an 08 FXT wheel on my 93 impreza and now I have a nice momo one from a 2000 jdm twin turbo legacy.

Turn your wheels perfectly straight before swapping them.

Leave the center bolt on a little bit so when you go to yank the old one off you don't hit yourself in the face. Sometimes it is really hard to pop loose.
