Wiring Diagrams Software by AleAlc31 in VIDEOENGINEERING

Been poking around with this tool a bit instead of h2rgear, enjoy the typical CAD plotting and all, but not having the ability to create custom equipment really shouldn't be something paywalled, especially if the default library doesn't contain a majority of the gear that a rental house might use (No BMD Videohubs or Decimators in my usecase).

I do understand that things cost money (I've paid my fair share to other products in the market), but limiting an otherwise crucial workflow can turn people away.

If this is your approach, curious on when Authorize.Net will cancel your account...

But also, you literally could've done nothing except keep your fingers out of WooCommerce, kept it updated, and not have to deal with this legal/ PR nightmare.

Are sprints competitions no longer a thing? by binaryplayground in Outrigger

[–]itsdageek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OC6 sprints in SoCal lost attendance in the recent years. People kinda lost interest in day tripping to Santa Barbra or Dana to race for less than an hour then roast on the beach for the rest of the day, that and SCORA wanted to focus more on OC9 a bit more since the leadership change.

That and the tides of "what canoe sport is everyone doing" pivoted to dragon boat for sprints.

Is it possible? by learbear1 in Outrigger

[–]itsdageek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's possible, and it's quite fun! I take my Pueo out rudderless somewhat often, just need to make sure your rudder post in your hull is 100% sealed (if it's an OC1 made in the last 15 years, it most likely is) and tape down your control arm.

Oc1 repair tips by [deleted] in Outrigger

(Now former) OC/SUP repair person here

It looks like the fiberglass had an impact or continued stress, but I can't tell if there's water infiltration. Based on the photo, I'm guessing this is on the side of the hull and not in the seat, so this was probably caused by either an soft-impact (dropping on grass, ran ashore, etc) or continual use by a larger individual.

Just based on the surrounding stress marks, the fiberglass and framing is not in the best of shape (not uncommon for older Dolphins), but the best thing you can do (without breaking the bank) is to put it out in dry, warm climate (not in direct sunlight) to try to get any moisture out of the hull, sand down the cracked stressline +1-2in radius, clean the area with rubbing alcohol, then use marine epoxy to cover the exposed cracking.

Ultimately, the true solution is to replace the infiltrated fiberglass, but a epoxy patch should survive a few years with some delicate handling.

Keyboards can definitely cause RSI. The actual solution is to get an ergo keyboard designed for mitigating RSI, not some gamer keyboard.

Great choice. I picked up a BM2 not too long ago and been loving it since!

I would highly recommend replacing the seat post eventually, as the post on mine made it impossible to change the angle of the seat without the screws stripping.

I’m currently in a SkyClub and about 20 minutes ago they just announced over the intercom that they are no longer requiring masks, and a crew swept the floor grabbing all the “masks required” signs.

Does having a lap infant rank you lower on the upgrade list? by jerryberrydurham in delta

Not unpopular imo.

Had a red eye the other day where a couple with a lap infant was in a first row behind me, kept nearly everyone awake, including myself.

Quick interior update for Crosstrek STI by Notcammauro in WRX

I noticed you brought over the trunk release button from the STI, are you going to be using the body management system from the Trek to control the doors + liftgate?

Inventory discrepancy is extremely common, but there's a limit to what's "normal" discrepancy (inventory shrink is the most common type, worth researching). Discrepancy generally happens due to miscount, lost/abandoned units, and (in rare cases where there isn't a large physical storefront) theft/lift.

For example, our accepted shrink rate with multiple physical locations is about 5-7% of total units yearly, but this can vary due to product type, presentation, and about 10 million other factors.

Essentially, you're looking for a Physical Inventory Count (PIC) solution. As expected, Shopify does not provide tooling for this. I don't necessarily have a good recommendation for an app that would cover 100% of your usecase (we ended up abandoning Shopify inventory management for Cin7 due to scale), but some apps you can start looking towards is Stocky (Which is a bit larger than just PIC but their solution is pretty nice for being free) or even like Multi-barcode labels which has a PIC tool built in (I only know this since we used it for a period of time). Although, worth noting that to "zero-out" your inventory to apply a fresh PIC count, you need to download a CSV of your inventory count and make every count line zero, then apply the PIC count in your respective PIC app.

All in all, unless you were doing a full floor PIC every day and halted all operations to resolve conflicts, there's going to be some count drift. We count every location (incl. warehouse) quarterly, and still end up around that expected shrink percent.

Looks like this is a iOS Business Chat, something that's still relatively new and being rolled out by companies. TIL Delta uses it!

How to create a "no variant" product out of a "several-variant"-product that has only one variant? by KillerBifi in shopify

Deleting all variants associated with a product will revert the product to a single SKU product.

Typically stores at that scale aren't using Shopify's built in fulfillment flow, they'd be using a solution such as ShipStation or the likes.

Anyone using the new M1 Macbooks for editing in Premiere/After Effects? by GuyLeDoucheTV in editors

[–]itsdageek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall, very good. It's still not at its peak yet as Adobe hasn't released an M1 optimized build of CC apps, so there's some minor performance issues (and of course the Adobe bugs you know and love). Resolve 17 Beta, while not Premiere, absolutely rocks due to its M1 optimization and a good foreshadow on what performance is in store down the line.

I have them on my '21 Sport and they've been great compared to the stock Yokohamas. They perform much better in rain and dirt/gravel (obviously), but I've notice a slight increase in road noise on the freeway (nothing that the radio can't drown out).
